Get Rooker. Trade the mini Mets(Acuna, Jett and/or Gilbert) to Oakland.
As long as STEARN keeps attached to his MINI MARKET/MONEY BALL PHILOSOPHY, STEARNS will not resign ALONSO and probably will get rid of high salaries like DIAZ'S, McNEIL'S, MARTE among others. Also SEVERINO and MANAEA will be gone. Remember that while in MILWAKEE he did not want to extend YELLICH until the owner stepped in and got it done. He also traded HADER because of his impending free agency. He treats N.Y. like asmall market city or rven a flea market city.
BRENT ROOKET would be a perfect fit for the METS because of his production and his $700,000 cheap salary that fits well with STEARNS' philosophy.
BRET BATY could be used in a trade package to acquire GARRET CROCHET.
The money that COHEN could spend on SOTO coild be used to sign ANTHONY SANTANDER,COLBIN BURNES, a goof reliever and resign ALONSO.
Rotation at the end of 2024 season: 1-Senga 2-Peterson 3-Butto 4-Megill 5-Lucchesi 6-Sproat 7-Tidwell 8-Blackburn just had back surgery and will miss 2025 spring training. Scott will miss all of 2025. We need at least one free agent at the top 3 level(Manaea, Severino, Quintana, Burnes).
