NJ Devils Luke Hughes & Brett Pesce Returning | Some Fans Need To Relax! It’s OCTOBER!
New Jersey Devils defensemen Luke Hughes and Brett Pesce are likely returning tonight in Detroit against the Red Wings, or tomorrow night back at The Rock against the New York Islanders.
This should improve the NJ Devils defense significantly. In this video I discuss the return of these guys, as well as talk about the doomsday fans that have proclaimed the season over already, one week ahead of Halloween!

Going to see the boys tomorrow to face the Islanders. Haven't been to the Rock since 2018. Hopping they don't disappoint.
Absolutely agree… fans who are crying like little bitches need to ask themselves one question : at the beginning of the season, would you have taken 5-3-1 at this stage, 2nd in the division, with Luke Hughes and Brett Pesce still to return? Look at the state of Colorado, Edmonton, Nashville etc. Chill out ffs. Lets Go Devils 😈🏒

The other night sucked, it sucked hard but… take a step back and look at last years Edmonton Oilers. They lost 10 of their first 13 games last season and where did they end by seasons end? This season is far from over.
The goalie now and in the future should have been Askarov; I would have given of Markstrom or Allen to solidify that position for tomorrow.

OUR TEAM IS OKAY! I think people are just panicking. Offense=great. Defense=bad but WILL get better. Goaltending= will improve with defense,
Hopefully Luke will elevate his game this season being surrounded by more experienced defensemen. Don’t want to see those same mistakes as last year
20 games is always a good barometer
I just want this team to develop a reputation of physicality. We haven't had that since Lou days…we are a lot bigger but still playing soft. That has to change. Our team's great, but we have to maximize our player's capabilities.

Some fans will be relaxed when Devils start winning 4-5 in a row including wins over playoffs teams. Is that difficult to understand? Right now the team sucks
New coach and new players is a crap excuse. Last year Rags started clicking with new coach right away this year Jets with new coach and some new players are playing amazingly. How's Devils different? Excuses excuses

I'm with you Ace… everyone is freaking out about this team. I've even seen people demanding we trade guys smh. I mean I was disappointed in our last 2 losses but I think we're gonna be ok. Just wait till we see the full squad. Anyways see you at the post game tonight. Let's go Devils!

It’s funny I see people on X bugging out saying that they gotta blow the team up, this court will never win anything blah blah blah. It’s funny even my neighbor was kind of freaking out last night. I ended up saying to him that they have a new coach. Some of their best players are coming off surgeries they had abbreviated pre-season, and had probably all of about three practices between the absolute onslaught of games that they’ve had to start the season oh, right not to mention the fact they’re missing a third of their defense or I truly don’t expect to see anything close to their final form until at least 20-25 games of the season. Even once Luke and Pesci are back, they’re gonna need some time to get the rust off games going.
It may be how the games are played that people are reading. When they win, its dominant (reason for optimism, and saying we are a different team that is heavier, edgier, more violent). When they lose, its pathetic (world is ending, i told you this is the same team, etc.). Consistently lacks, and the team that wins 3-0 to Utah looks nothing like the team that lost 8-5 from Tampa. But objectively looking at the standings, we are probably a playoff team, somewhere near wild card. Enormous amount of time left, so the panick button needs to be left alone.
Dougie Hamilton also is going to take time to get him in prime form missing 3/4 of the season. Thanksgiving is a good barometer
People love to panic and criticize the team but when they're winning these "fans" will be no where to be found.
Keep up the positive vibes! Some people expect zero loses. It’s unrealistic. Does it suck to lose? Of course. But gotta stick it out, wins loses and all that.
