James Rapien on Bengals trading for Cooper Kupp: “NFL teams talk a lot about identity. The Bengals know their identity on offense. Putting an elite trio of playmakers around a star quarterback like Burrow makes too much sense. The Ravens tried to trade for Henry last year, before ultimately signing him in free agency. Like Kupp, he’s on the wrong side of 30 and some believed he was declining. Fit matters. Henry is a perfect fit in Baltimore. Kupp would be a perfect fit in Cincinnati with Burrow and the Bengals.”

ESPN on Bengals trading Trey Hendrickson: “He requested a trade from the Bengals during the offseason, and I think Cincinnati would move him for the right (steep) price. He isn’t exactly the big, long body that Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn typically prefers at edge rusher, but his body of work as a pass rusher is undeniable. He’s one of the few, if not the only player, who might be available at the deadline who can actually plug the void that Hutchinson’s injury leaves. Hendrickson has seven sacks (tied for fourth in the NFL) and a 27.5% pass rush win rate this season (third).”

  1. The Bengals just need to use Mike Gesiki like he is a WR. Not a TE. He isn’t a good TE. He is a good WE. And Gesicki is way bigger than Cooper Kupp and way faster and more explosive than Kupp is.

  2. You want a WR?? How about Chris Godwin for the Bucs. Godwin is 28 and this is his last year under contract for the Bucs. He is 6’1’’ 209 and ran a 4.42. If you want a WR I can’t think of a better guy. And Godwin is consistent and has only missed a handful of games. He has had over 1000 yards for the last 3 years. Alex Cappa knows him.

  3. Keep Hendrickson. QBs hate it when he's on the field. We are stacked on WR with Iosivas and Burton…we should also start targeting TEs more on passing downs. We need help on corners and O line still

  4. James Rapien acts like a teenager playing Madden. Why would we need Kupp's big contract when our offense really hasn't been the issue this year. AND we still have to figure Chase's contract and maybe even Higgins. We need defensive help wayyy more than an aging, expensive wr. If our offense needs anything, it's oline help. Stop with this 🙄

  5. Trade Hendrickson?? That’s absurd. Yea if Detroit gives up 3 1st round picks and 2 2nd round picks. Sure we will trade him for that. And wtf was ESPN talking about Hendrickson is this the typical edge rusher types they like?? He is 6’4’’ 270 lbs and has 32 inch arms. Hutchinson is 6’7’’ 260 pounds and has 32 inch arms. Trey is more stockey. But their arm length is identical. No fucking way are we trading him. That’s absurd. Ok we will trade him for that RB you got last year and 2 1st round picks. Anything short of that then get the fuck out of here.

  6. Two guys. Walker Little and Mike Williams. Little could provide much needed depth. Williams could be a nice boost to a group that is looking for a surge from the #3 spot.

  7. I think we need a serious upgrade on the Oline. I'm not trying to knock Trent Brown or anyone else. However, we always seem to go get guys who are injury prone.
