Paul Goldschmidt could become a free agent if the St Louis Cardinals do not choose to have him back. He just finished up a 4 year 120 million dollar deal and in no way would the next suitor pay that.. The Milwaukee Brewers seem like they are keeping an eye out on that situation.. Hope not
Only creates a log jam of athletically depreciated pieces at 1st with Hoskins. Also removes Yelich from being the everyday DH. If he is there to platoon with Hoskins to match up against a tough lefty giving Yelich a day off I can see it, however I doubt the Brewers could afford Goldschmidt for that role. I also do not think Goldschmidt would accept that role.
