49ers Brock Purdy confirms he can’t call audibles at line of scrimmage 👀

  1. McVay just beat the Vikings. McVay lets his players play. Kyle holding the Niners back. Why do you think Saleh didn’t come back to the Niners? He don’t like Kyle lol.

  2. What happens if Brock sees the defense loading the box or safeties lined up aggressive, he's not allowed to audible it to a boot PA from a called run play? QB's, especially Brock, should always have some sort of play they can option to if seen fit. Kyle not allowing audibles is very restricting.

  3. People need to learn how football works. Shanahan is one of the best coaches in the NFL, this isn't my opinion it's a fact backed up by the data. the 49ers were nothing when he got the team, they were 5-11 and 2-14 the two years prior and Shanahan took them to a superbowl within 2 years. Since 2017 when he became coach he is
#7 in overall wins in the entire NFL
#5 in playoff appearances in the entire NFL
#2 in playoff wins in the entire NFL
#2 in superbowl appearances in the entire NFL
The only coach who is better in all the last 3 stats is Andy Reid and he has had 26 years experience 21 of which he didn't win a superbowl and only went to the playofs once and only after Patrick Mahomes joined did he return to the playoffs or win a superbowl. The point of all this is that Shanahan knows what he is doing, if brock isn't allowed to call audibles there is a reason. Shanahan understands the game of football in a way none of you leaving comments can even remotely approach. Just because your team is losing doesn't mean the answer is as simple as "Let the QB run audibles" and everything will be great again. I'm no giant fan of Shanahan myself but before you start slinging mud look into the facts a bit or you just look stupid.

  4. So i will give my point of view as a construction laborer i believe it can relate in some way, theres times where I know I have a good idea and that it will work and it will be way more efficient than my foremans way of doing whatever the task is , but at the end of the day I have to do it his way and if the result is terrible or something goes wrong guess who takes the blame or looks bad? Well obviously the laborer who did it and all the laborer can say is I told you so! Thats how i feel about the brock and shanahan situation

  5. A play call typically has options where you can pass the ball to, so Brock can choose who to pass when the primary option is not available. I read this as Shan's play call is expected to get a player to be open regardless of defensive scheme. Is that realistic? I'd think QB should still have an option to audible or go no huddle, so does he not trust Brock to do it or just not allow any QB to have the option?

  6. I thought the last game was more about poor play calling and a real lacking of adjustment… than the team’s poor performance. Coach was right to say something to Purdy but someone needs to rake over Shanahan!

  7. Bill Walsh is definitely turning in his grave! Rest in love “bill walsh”
Kyle shanahan will never learn! Want’s credit for everything but his shitty play calls! let your QB make final decisions he’s the one playing the game!!

  8. Another reason defenses are getting more aggressive. In order for no audible to work, the recievers have to see the same thing Brock does at the line. If the HOT reciever misses it, then the play call is moot. Brock is the in the minority, means Shanahan doest trust his quarterback. Effin control freak. Kyle takes all the credit, won't take any blame. Last thing, Brock throws to spots, Kyle needs to change those spots. Defenses have figured out where they are.

  9. Yeah. Kyle its okay to trust this QB. He is smart enough to know what plays work. We all saw you call a run as the Chiefs loaded the box and we all knew it was a terrible call before the snap. Imagine if Brock could change a play knowing the chiefs are abusing the obvious setup

  10. Fire Shanahan idc at this point. He’s the problem, he thinks he’s the QB. That’s why the 49ers lose superbowl no matter who the QB. Even if Pat mahomes was here Kyle would lose with mahomes. It’s Kyle not the QB .
