  1. 1996:
Yankees lose Game 1 and 2 at home, against those 1996 braves that previously held the most runs scored in the NLCS with 44 (Surpassed by these Dodgers this year with 46)
Yankees lose 12 – 1 to ATL in Game 1
Yankees lose 4 – 0 to ATL in Game 2
They came back and won it all despite these huge differentials and losses.

This team isn't the same of course… and it seems bleak, but it's not impossible.

  2. Walker Buehler has been on the road to come back from surgery, every game he gets a bit better, last two games he looks like the old Butane, You guys are severely underestimating him, right now he has the nastiest stuff from all the pitchers. Monday yankees are facing a dude without a contract with so much fire to show the world he is back. He pitched 4 innings struck out 6, zero runs last game, go back and look at those innings and the movement on Walkers pitches. Yankees in for a rude a waking Monday with Buehler.

  3. I can accept tonight's loss. Still saying the biggest mistake was last night, we were one out away from a win. Then it's 1-1 going back home. Tim Hill would've gotten Freddie out and this would be a different series right now. This is all on Boone.

  4. Dodgers are just a better constructed team, there strong throughout the lineup with better pitching even having half their starters out, we rely on Judge Soto and Stanton to score and Cole is the only starter we can trust

Next year will be worse we either break the bank to keep Soto and fill the lineup with rookies or he walks and we let Cashman loose again to spunk the payroll budget away on some semi washed free agents

  5. On a real note stop asking or even looking for a lineup change. Especially as smart as Jomboy and Jake are when it comes to baseball. You guys need to realize Judge is the Captain and extremely capable of going off. You're asking for less chances for him to go off by moving him down the lineup and for all you know Stanton could be extremely comfy in the 4 hole. Who's to say he doesn't become cold moving up to 3? Boone isn't wrong here to keep the lineup the way it is. You have to live and die with Judge point blank. That's why yall paid him and that's why you gave him the "Captain" title. Whatever happens is gonna happen with Judge hitting 3rd. I can literally guarantee that

  6. Typical New York team comprising of over payed regular season over achievers who never win a close game or come up in a big moment thatā€™s all itā€™s been my whole life what a shit era to grow up with New York sports

  7. The Dodgers are pitching the same way they pitched the Padres for the final 2 games. Everyone on the Yankees is trying to be the hero and the Dodgers know that.

  8. Any chance I can get a day where I donā€™t have to watch wells and Verdugo put together the weakest contact and easiest outs in the world? Why not just let Dominguez play at this point or start Oswaldo. WE NEED OFFENSE

  9. Low key this is the best team the Yankees have faced this postseason and for the Dodgers, the Yankees are probably the worst team they faced this postseason

  10. Yamamoto opened the game by giving full counts to the top three of the Yankees, only one of them got on base from a walk….that was the Yankees best chance to score (excluding the homer) until the dodgers took him out. That's bad

  11. Aaron judge is now officially the most pathetic worst professional athlete in sports history. Iā€™ve never seen someone get so much worse when it matters. All year every clutch at bat late he failed miserably. And now every at bat in the playoffs heā€™s failed miserably. Judge is now officially the most pathetic player in sports history. Who else goes from great to horrible when it matters. The guy has destroyed the reputation of yankee captain. I think judges career has been ruined. He can hit 70 homeruns next year and heā€™ll still be remembered as the worst yankee great ever.

  12. I said the same thing, judge is sitting breaking ball. He gets a breaking ball 5 feet out of the zone and he swings and misses. Some ppl are really talented but mentally weak pathetic humans. Judge I think will go down as the most pathetic baseball player in the history of the sport. When you factor in how talented he is, and how much he fails when it matters. Worst great player in American sports history! We can never respect him again.

  13. Judge will come good. He's got a day off to reset, work on timing, and he'll come out game 3 and hit 2 HRs. I'm backing him. He could do it from the 5 spot though.

  14. Ohtani has a double off the wall. We beat two really bad teams, now weā€™re playing a really good team. And weā€™re getting our ass kicked. The Yankees without Aaron judge are basically the royals, but slightly better/ which is way worse than good teams like the dodgers. I think we get swept. And judge never lives it down.

  15. "I don't think [Ohtani] has got a hit yet." You forgot that screamer in G1 that hit four feet from the top of the wall in right, where the Yankees effed up catching the throw from Soto and Ohtani took third base.

  16. Moving judge up does NOTHING! We still have all the lefties late and the worst hitter in baseball judge hitting top 3. Literally does nothing. Judge has to hit 5/6. Soto had two bombs today. What would moving him to three do??? We need 2 righties in the bottom 5

  17. Dodger fan here from L.A. here. I definitely think its not a done deal. You got to final boss Trienan two straight games. You guys were a good pitch from Game 1 and a key hit on the bottom of the 9th with bases loaded in game 2 away from being up 2-0. Our team and the city is just playing with a lot of emotion because of the passing of Frenando right now and we got lucky. But one thing I noticed is you guys are as hard to your players as our fans are super hard on our players when they are slumping. Mookie caught the wrath of Dodger fans earlier in the playoffs. Salute and respect to the Yankees!
