  1. Teams moving in the right direction, hopefully we can keep trending up and build some momentum.

Appreciate you putting up the vids even while you’re away Lowqual, hope the trip is going well!

  2. I would’ve thought Elias Lindholm would’ve been really good by now. He just looks awful quiet and sometimes you don’t even notice him out there. Right now (could always change still early) still projected to only have 51 points… that’s not what you want out of what was thought to be your number one center and, almost $8 million player. Him and zacha you HAVE to get going.

  3. One thing that continues to drive me insane is that Monty deploys that 2nd line like Coyle is Bergeron. At some point you gotta realize that 63-13 is not 63-37 and stop giving that line like <40% ozone starts against other teams top lines. Spread out that defensive workload a bit.

  4. All 6 cylinders starting to spit and sputter. Take this momentum and make it hum. I suppose it’s tough to play with energy the whole game, and there was slippage. But, hey you make 1-9mil a year to do it (for the 15-20minutes you are expected to – and not in the box). Monty needs to keep them accountable.

And I don’t mind the re-attempts on lines that don’t work. Don’t be Wyle.E. Just don’t do it in clutch moments.

    We’re getting there.

  5. I saw the play on the game-tying goal differently. McAvoy challenges at the blue line – you can argue that he shouldn't do that, and I probably agree – but Johnny Beecher is literally right behind him when he makes that decision. Once McAvoy loses that battle, Beecher just … uh, skates away … to cover absolutely nothing … leaving Matthews alone 1-on-1 with Swayman. So yeah, not the best decision, but I kind of doubt that McAvoy would have made that decision if he knew that Beecher would have completely abandoned the best goal scorer in the NHL. That was really bad!

I agree with the overall tone of the video tho; the team looked better. If they couldn't get up for a Hockey Night against the Leafs, I would have had grave concerns. We avoided the grave concerns. That's good!

The offense still isn't there tho. Last night you had 1 nice power play goal, but then a Nylander lost edge and two bone-headed mistakes by the Leafs which the Bruins turned into goals. It's great that they were able to capitalize! But it isn't sustainable over the long haul. Need to get better and better shot quality to score on the looks they get.

I still have faith. GO B'S!!

  6. carlo's mistake on the first goal was annoying, as matthews takes the puck off the half wall to the net carlo is right in his way but decides to turn his back to matthews. he didn't even have to make a move on him because carlo just turned around and skated away from him giving a clear lane to the net. he wanted to block the lane to marner behind the net but he shouldve just taken matthews because at that point he was the only player between a god damn superstar and the net with said superstar being 2 feet in front of his face with the puck. every player on that goal looked absolutely horrible with the piss poor net front coverage and puck battling, but it starts with carlo once again just having a total brain lapse at a terrible time

  7. Monty is not a good coach. All he does is mix the lines up randomly with no rhyme or reason. He does not have good judgement and hockey common sense. Again, look back two seasons in his first year. All the lines where mostly already in place when he arrived. He said it himself, he didn't even have to coach because the team itself already had such good leadership within. He did this all year and laughed it up, then at the very end, when the team really badly needed a coach, what did he do? In the last few games, he left top players in against desperate teams that were fighting and clawing for a win to make the playoffs. We already set a bunch of all time records. It would have been better if we went on vacation and forfeited the games, because in the last 4-5 games, our guys were getting beat up. In those last games we know that Bergeron, Pastrnak, Hall, Krejci, Marchand, Ullmark, and others. Most of us were too high on winning that we didn't quite see the problem brewing. I saw it, but Monty obviously didn't. Enter the F U C K I N G FLORIDA F U C K I N G PANTHERS. We destroyed them to the extent it was embarrassing, but he didn't notice that Florida wasn't trying to win game 1, they were trying to hurt key Bruins. Instead of keeping the key players off the ice as much as possible, he was back there buffing his head or something, while Maurice was prowling around with glowing red eyes and blood dripping from his teeth. Game 2 came around, and we got smoked, because there were obviously players hurt in game one that were playing at 50%. Games 3 and 5, back to Plan A: Hurt the good Bruins and rest Bobrovksy. Maurice was laser focused, even though they lost, he was studying and adapting. Game 5, players are getting hurt, and Ullmark gets hurt. We all saw it, he flopped around the ice like a baby Walrus for a while, then when he got back to the net, he was barely moving. HMMMMMMMMMMMM. What ever shall we do? Ahh.. I got it! LET'S PUT AN INJURED GOALIE BACK ON THE ICE! YAY!!!! Result: LOSS. Game 6, Ullmark is still in net, badly injured. Swayman is on the bench at 100%, ready to rumble, like a pissed off fu*king BULLDOG, but let's put the injured baby Walrus in there, because he's the Vezina winner!! I'll polish my head again I think… Result: Loss. Game 7: Well, clearly the Walrus can't be in net again because he can't even move half of his goddamn body. Let's put the Bulldog out there after he hasn't played in weeks, and he's cold and not ready, because he stayed on the bench while the baby Walrus flopped around in pain for days. HMMM. I wonder what will happen if we put an ice cold goalie that has not played for almost a month in for game 7 against a team of savages and a coach with glowing red eyes and blood from the dead dripping down his chin. Hmmmm…..
Sorry for the rant but guys… what are they doing with Monty? I love the guy a person. He overcame addiction and returned to the NHL as a coach… that's incredible and heart warming, especially for me because my life has been a struggle with addiction as well, and I'm so proud of him… but he should not be coaching the Boston Bruins. Period. He does many things well, he calls out the right players at times.. that's great, but he doesn't have the hockey instincts to lead a team. His first (regular) season was awesome because the Bruins were a team with a core of seasoned veterans that have been together for an extremely long time. That team needed a good coach to keep veteran players grounded and in check. He failed. Last year, he called out Pasta after game 6, and Pasta scores the GWG in game 7 OT to win the series… but the game tying goal came from Lindholm – a defenseman. The game winning goal came from Lindholm – a defenseman, AGAIN, who simply launched the puck randomly down the ice, while Pasta caught the Leafs napping, and put it in the net with a great move.
I just don't know anymore. Maybe I'm wrong and insane but I'm almost 40 and I grew up on hockey in Maine and I've watched almost every Bruins season since I was 11 in 1996. I remember being at home with my dad on the coach watching Monty go on an insane spree and win the Championship for the Maine Black Bears and jumping around and my dad telling me to hurry up and get to bed before my mom got back from work and don't tell her I was up late watching the game. So it's not like I'm some random nutter from Mexico just talking smack.
If I'm wrong about Monty, I apologize and I will bow out quietly and never comment on hockey again, but unless something is going on behind the scenes that none of us know about, I'm probably not wrong.
    Go B's!!!!
