  1. Hi buddy. I never comment on your videos because it's so sucective. The la kings are in first place in their division. And there 18th. Good teams find a way to win without their best game. That ranking is just wrong!!! . Lol

  2. As a Utah fan, 22 is honestly a bit generous . Keller is carrying us. Ingram and Veji have GOT to step up and our power play needs to start producing goals. One day they'll be killer… But Durzi and Marino being out sucks.

  3. just a reminder I know its late nights but Winnipeg is in the same division as Dallas and Dallas is second in their division as the Jets have 16 points to Dallas 14

  4. It seems like Shannon is giving the Sabres a ranking based on the past instead of this year. Putting Nashville and Columbus ahead of the Sabres seems a little absurd. Give them some credit where credits due. Traveling to another country and have it mess up your reset for the year and needing to learn to play the way they need to for 2 games that occured in less than 18 hours and using it to grade the rest of the season is letting the past years be part of the ranking. I don't see the others teams getting that downward adjustment for past years. @thehocketguy Realistically I think 23/24 would be fair so its not a giant deal but come on get rid of the downward curve. Its a new season.

  5. i know you've said "be careful with asking for rebuilds" but at this point it'd be less painful than watching the islanders play like this for the rest of the season. this team continues to frustrate me to no end.

  6. The jets will fall apart January-February like they do every year. They’ll probably be 20 points ahead of Colorado and Dallas and then fall to 3rd or 4th place in the central by playoff time I’m sure

  7. Winnipeg has been good before, good early, good all season. And then they don't do much in the playoffs. But power rankings aren't about past iterations of teams, so, maybe Winnipeg is that good. Number one for the best reason possible: they don't lose!

  8. I was saying, in some other of my comments, that even the fact that they're in games, The Chicago Blackhawks have to find a way to win these games that they're losing, after being in front, especially the game, in which they spoiled Shutout of Soderblaum & ended up losing in OT, even though I think that it was against Winnipeg, who's The Best Team, especially the fact, that the tying goal wasn't until there was a bit over of a minute left. Chicago should be winning these games. Let me know what you think

  9. Toronto learaning lessons on how to play North South heavy hockey consistently. These will be painful lessons but they need to learn them and make each other accountable. They have to get so sick and tired of what happened in Boston before they can truly be consistent nigh in and night out. Once they realize everyone is being held accountable by Berube the quicker they can get on with it and just play the right way.

  10. 1. Flyers in 30 is unfortunate but accurate. Going to be a long year. I expect them in bottom row of power rankings but still in playoff contention to miss a chance at a top 5 pick.
    2. San Jose in Philly on November 11th, so if they're still winless there's a good chance the Flyers break that streak again like last year.

  11. So the Jets just win, is that why they number 1? I think the fact that they've won 16 regular season games dating back to last year, the Jets are continuing what they were doing, minus losing to a coked up scoring machine in the 1st round of the playoffs, and will take a pretty good run at the cup this year. This is the same team as last year, dillon, monahan and taffoli, all replaceable. This is going to be fun to watch.

  12. Thank you Shannon for the weekly short movie and may the Hockey Gods bless your vocal chords. Tried the Pho Bo Tai Lan today, the version with stir fried beef, definitely recommend.

  13. It’s becoming more and more clear that Torontos game against Tampa was a game where Tampa played badly, not one where Toronto played well. I am a Toronto fan. 😭

  14. I enjoy your knowledgable evaluations and for the most part agree with you. However your failure to "dump" as you say on Pedderson may need to take into consideration that that dump may include management that bowed to fan pressure to sign him. It seems to me he lacks the strength to counter his Bambi like stabilities problems.

  15. No way does Edmonton belong above the playoff line. Only one team has less goals, they're 29th in goal differential, no one is claiming McDavid is suffering from injuries like last year, they can't keep counting on going a month without losing, that is not a recipe for success. Nothing increases the pressure of winning the cup like scrambling just to make the playoffs.

  16. As a Wild fan, the first thing I thought when I saw the loss to Philly was, "Too bad there wasn't a THG power ranking between now and the games in Florida" haha
