2. I hope Ohtani's injury is not too serious. I want him to be a big part of this series and to enjoy what has taken him seven years to reach in MLB. As for the slide that resulted in that injury, I have a couple of observations. This is the second steal attempt he's made in the series where he didn't look right at all. He didn't have a great jump, as if he's not timing the pitcher very well, and his slide was not typical of his usual slides. He looked like he was starting the slide at the wrong spot and got messed up trying to reach the bag smoothly as he usually does. So he sprawled over the bag awkwardly in a heap, and prior to that extended his left arm more than usual in bracing himself. I've seen him steal second many times, and neither of the recent slides looked like the usual Ohtani slide. Maybe he's over-anxious and losing his typical slide mechanics, but he definitely hasn't looked smooth with the last two steal attempts.

3. I couldn't care less about having Ice Cube with the opening "musical" presentation to hype the crowd. I switched to a different channel. The guy is so mock serious and his acting is terrible, so I thought it was more obnoxious than inspiring.

26. I don't agree with Dylan's opinion. Based on the interviews that I've seen I feel like Shohei lives and plays for the present time. I don't think he is considering or thinking about his legacy right now. Shohei is like Freddie. Both guys are going to do whatever they can to be in the lineup. So, I'm hoping we get another update later today. If Shohei can't play in these remaining games I will not discredit what he has done for this team. Very annoyed seeing ppl on X bashing him and calling him useless. Ppl expect him to have sho-bombs every single night. Overall, I do agree that this team can win the WS. Shohei has put this team on his back multiple times and now the team can do the same for him. Shohei fans know that sho karma is real. It would be sweet to win it all in enemy territory!
