If I were Alpy i would ask for the same Jalen 's contract +10% = 2+1 PO @ 117 mio + incentives if he is selected to All Star….. Little bit unfair for Alpy… But I guess he likes Rockets which should be apriciated… what you think about not putting incentives in Alpy's contract?
What a terrible question on the thumbnail. All those 2021 dudes getting max were over pays with the exception of maybe Cade.
Sengun is better than everyone else in the class. Jalen Green got a payday while the Rockets kicked the can on having to fully commit.
3 min of Sengun/JG but 10 minutes of Ant? i feel so cheated and bored
Overpay? Are you crazy? The rest if the league overpaid their rookie contract guys!
White NBA analysts and young flashy 19-22 year old scoring guards… Name a more incompatible duo.
I think every media not in Houston doesn’t realize the importance of how much money the Rockets saved
Rockets get an A+ for the contracts, they didn’t overpay, the rest of their draft class got way overpaid and aren’t nearly as good as JG & ALp
Lmmfao overpay 😂
I’ll save you all some time. The answer is no.
An outsider's .02cents worth:
1. Sengun seems more worthy of the contract he got than Green.
2. Sengun doesn't seem to fit what every other Rocket seems to make them out to be. Maybe i'm wrong, but Sengun seems more fit for a half court slower game than the Rockets are heading.
3. Green has always seemed overrated to me then his career has done nothing to change my mind. Green looks good when he looks good, incredible athletes will suck us in like that. But he's a featherweight SG, not a PG, not a wing too small….his D will never be much, he's not much of a playmaker or rebounder….he's a featherweight scorer who yes can look amazing sometimes.
Green would be better suited as a 6th man super scorer let everything focus on him that way and try to use it to your advantage. But at his age and that contract they'll keep trying to defend that selection until either they can trade him or they really are in denial of how good he is (they would re-sign him as they have even for more than they wanted to pay so as to not lose him for nothing, teams do that all the time (Jordan Poole comes to mind, actually not the worst comparison although not perfect.)
To Recap. Sengun a really nice player but i don't think he fits the rest of the teams athletic style as well as he would a different team. Green is a lightweight no D, little more than scorer player who himself and everyone else seems to think is all that. Not worth that contract.
Lol, Suggs is an overpay
Jalen, yes. Alpi, no.
