  1. Isn’t a fine basically a warning more or less and if it happens again then it’s an instant suspension. And if I got fined $5000 dollars you best believe I would never make that mistake again.

  2. My perception is that the NHL is ok with you saying a blown call cost the game – ie: the ref made a mistake and it mattered – but to suggest that the ref in any way intentionally took a biased action or is incompetent is instant fine. Burrows was going scorched Earth (deservedly) against Stephane Auger

  3. Pretty bonkers habs are already calling up condatta…. just throw mailloux on a wing he wants to be a forward anyways and keeps giving up odd mad rushes

  4. I don't like Kadri, or the flames, but I'm worth him, despite the fact that I've been supporting the jets in the central for years. I have absolutely no proof to this, but I've felt for a long time that refs are instructed to lean one way or the other by the league to keep streaks going for marketing purposes.

  5. its the fact that the refs let so many things go on the jets then call those penalties on calgary when they are way more mild than the whole zary onslaught that went down, and before people say, "o he hit himself with his own stick", calgary have gotten called for that twice this season, so its just bs overall how the refs did ultimately decide the game

  6. While I think Kadri should've kept his emotions in check and not taken that late game penalty, I also think it was a bit of a cheap call for the refs to make with like 5 minutes left in a 3-3 tie game. That game was destined for overtime, we were robbed.

  7. The issue with the Kadri situation is that there is no consistency when it comes to calls made by the refs. Was it a slashing call on Kadri? Yes it was without a doubt. Was it super egregious and it 100% impacted the play absolutely not. Additionally, if the refs are going to start calling the penalties by the book, where is the double minor call on Pionk when he high sticked Zary? Where was the goalie interference call when they ran over Wolf? There is zero consistency in the NHL and its nuance based which is why Kadri came out and said those things. Incase you are wondering yes I would say the exact same thing if this happened to a Jets player.

  8. Mr Kadri, I am pretty sure vocally criticizing the officiating won't do you any favors for the rest of the season! It's like complaining about restaurant food being a jerk and sending it back and expecting there will not be retaliation!

  9. On kadri as a jets fan, yeah bad timing penalty to take and call but cant blame the game on it. Yall had 4 powerplays to score but yall gave up a short handed instead. Jets had 2 bad pens called against.

  10. You could just simply reply to those "but what about the standings" people by telling them "just look up the standings then, that's your power rankings" lol. I don't see a reason why people should care about the standings when it's only week 3 and not everyone has even played 10 games yet…

  11. The first mistake the sharks made was leaving Marco Sturm on the table in favor of the guy who stood next to David Quinn for the entirety of one of the sharks worst seasons in franchise history.
He coaches the exact same way but somehow even less effective. They also need to come to terms with the fact that Couture is done and name a new captain. This team lacks any type of leadership and it shows in their sloppy play.
Best thing they could do right now would be to bring up a few of the guys doing really well on the AHL and replace the several vets who look like passengers in the lineup. Make these guys fight for a roster spot.

  12. As a Sharks fan. To me It looks like coaching. They kept more then half the former staff P.K and power play being coached by the same group. I think they need to start there Ryan W hasn’t had much experience I think adding a few new replacing some coaches

  13. Hathaway elbow was suspension worthy for sure. Away from the play and clearly intentional. Dirty play by a repeat offender. I don’t understand how that isn’t at least a game

  14. The Jets vs Flames game was awesome and the ref was calling them on both sides, so I don’t know why Kadri considered his slashing penalty to be some sort of an anomaly event late in the game. I like Kadri and also Calgary Flames this season and wish them well. I’m a Jets fan and just want to keep the Train Rock’n and Rolling one game at a time. Comrie played a great game and that takes the pressure off Hellebuyck and puts the whole team into a copacetic mind groove.

  15. I am broke with no career and I could pay a $5000 fine if I hurt somebody. Peanuts to these guys. Not saying they should be fined more, but, if the purpose of the fine is punishment then it is very very weak.

  16. I'm still trying to figure out why Naz signed in Calgary? Nevermind the slash.

One of my favorite players. Grew up in Toronto, but been an Avs fan since 96. So to not see him in Colorado or Toronto is just weird for me still.
