  1. Why the hate? Because they are not fans of the front of the jersey. I love Freddie. But he is not on the Braves anymore. If you can’t embrace the players donning the ATL jersey, then can you call yourself a fan? Sure there are some players that give us heart palpitations, but they still wearing the ATL jersey. Freeman wasn’t traded. He left on his own. Regardless of the story being told from both sides, at the end of the day he left. I wish him well. I look forward to his HoF enshrinement.

  2. I don't hate Matt Olson, but I miss Freddie Freeman – like someone said on your chat – it doesn't matter much if you are a clutch hitter in April – it matters more in October.

  3. Matt Olson is a great 1st Baseman. He's a great hitter. Just like Freddie Freeman. Here's the difference. So far, in those clutch moments that really, really matter… Matt Olson just doesn't compare to Freddie Freeman in any manner. That could change. There's still time. But until he does do it in the big moments the way Freddie did, or does now for the Dodgers, Matt Olson will always be 2nd rate in Atlanta when talking about this subject. Unfortunate, but true.

  4. I think hate is much too strong of a word Lindsay. Scrutiny is a better word. I will say that he is the perfect candidate for Tim Hyers to work with on putting the ball in play when it's needed to score a run from 3rd or move a runner over… No more swings for the fence unless it's the right opportunity!

  5. Don’t hate Matt Olson? However, Freeman was the face of the Braves for many years! I will always miss him and his family! Olson does not have the same spark/spunk personality as FF! That is what I miss!
