  1. I just know there are couple old heads watching this and quietly getting even more nervous about the day the "done with the 80s" movement comes to the baseball.

  2. I was a year old when the first one happened in 88, growing up in LA my dad would always talk about it and how amazing it was. My dad and I both witnessed Freddies last week and I was glad I was able to experience that. Thank you October Baseball, you are special.

  3. I'm 79 years old and a lifelong Yankee fan, and the first game of the Series game was super even though the Bombers lost.

Now here is my but, the grand slam was exciting, yet if the hit was a just a single the Dodgers would have scored two runs, and would have won the game.

Many people are calling it a historical homer, myself I would label it a epic homer.

This is just my option, the two World Series homer that I consider historical were Bill Mazeroski's in 1960 against my Yanks and Joe Carter's in 1993 against the Phillies. Not only did their homers win the game, it also won the World Series.

One more item, the Series' advertisers must be grinning from ear to ear, having the Series being played in the two largest markets in the U.S.

  4. What about the players who hit 3 home runs in 1 world series game, Sandoval, Pujols, Jackson and Babe Ruth who did it twice, so freeman & gibson are no big deal
