6. Tuesdays seem to be really bad luck this season for the Habs so far. During PK, they should be collapsing down to a D zone box. During 5 on 5, it appears at least one or two guys are not covering their man. Think it going to take quite awhile if they keep using this hybrid D zone coverage and think its far too complicated for such a youthful team. Mailloux and Xheraj did not gel well together as a blueline pairing.

14. The Thing is usually the more mature teams tend pick up steam as the season progress and the experience rises… its not looking good in terms of being in the mix but its looking great for next years draft

18. Funny but I honestly expected a loss, and maybe a trouncing, after the last game at Philly when they allowed 2 goals in the last 2 minutes (and came close to allowing the tying 3rd goal). Don't know the psychology behind it but so often in sports when a teams ends a win badly…it usually points to a loss in the next game and often the start of a losing streak. We shall see if this is just the beginning of a long downturn. Assistant coaches Robidas and Letowski are the problem and must go. Just very bad coaching in general and on defense more specifically.

19. I love these one sided loses because they shout what progress has to happen with the team and players.
    Last year there were over 20 losses by one goal no no alarms weng off.
    This loss points us in the right direction as to what to fix.

    Brett Hull back to back , '90-'91 & '91-'92

    Apparently the NHL doesn't recognize a 50 in 50 unless it is done before the "team's" 50th game of the season, and not the player's 50th game of the season.

    For example Lemieux, did do it in '91-'92, actually scored 50 goals in 48 games that year, but it was the 79th Pens game of the year that he did it, as Lemieux was injured quite a bit that year. Ditto for '95-'96, scored 50 in his 50th game, but was actually the team's 59th game, so doesn't count apparently.

    Kurri, Molgilny and Neely, all got screwed by that rule as well

23. Just a complete shame for everyone who bought tickets for the game today. Not acceptable from the Montreal Canadiens. The young guys needs to learn this fast. That's 2 out of 7 home games that were over after the first 10 minutes.

36. I noticed that the ref in this game is the same one who gave a penalty to Wifi for getting double teamed. This guy has a grudge against the Habs. Is there a ref stats summary website out there? Seatle had something to prove having lost a few games so yes, they came out hot while we were riding a 2-game win streak and thought we had it in the bag. A couple of deflections later and you are in a hole. This is inexperience. A win on Thursday and we are at 500 hockey again. Great show! GO HABS GO!

37. Can someone tell me why Kapanen is on this team? Nothing against the guy, but he does nothing at all, is on the PP and has 1 point in 9 games. I don't get it unless they are just playing him for the month of Oct to give him a taste.

    Management didn't do anything to help the team in the iff season. What do you expect with all that youth , you have to surround them ,it's always the excuse of rebuilding
    MSL not the right couch for this team.
    What he is doing with Arber is wrong ,any team would love a guy like that
    The goalies, Monty is a good second goal. Not a starter. They should put them in there right position
    And get some one with experience to help MSL because this is getting ugly
    And they need a center with experience in the second line
    And another end player for the fourth line
    And another 2nd line defense man with experience
    And a no. One goal
    Management is failing again and the fan base is had enough
    This a becoming a joke around the league

41. St Louis needs to transition from being a cheerleader to someone who holds players accountable. I hope he can do so.
    As you say not a time to panic but we need to show some development in improving team defence. As well maybe the defencemen coach needs to be looked at we don't seem to show much improvement in this group.
