3. Why trade, target soto and bring in walker. As much as i love pete, any saved money will allow stearns to work his magic. Staying under the cohen tax should be a goal

4. I wouldn't necessarily say signing Arenado meant we had to let Pete walk. Arenado could start at 3b and Vientos could be the every day DH. It would improve our IF defense without sacrificing the offense.

5. No to high priced players past their prime. One year, like JD Martinez, maybe. Three years? Pass.

12. No reason to take Vientos off 3rd base. He has done an excellent job in the hot corner. Maybe a couple misplayed, but nothing that drastic as to say he cant handle it. Baty looked lost on 3rd.. Vientos just looks like he's learning the position when makes an error or misplays it. Vientos will only get better at 3rd.

29. Vientos stays at 3rd. McNeil and or baty traded for pitching. Acuna at 2nd and outfield, bat needs be in line up. McNeil and or Mauricio platoon with acuna. Outfield nimmo Soto acuna and one of the kids jett w Blake t one of em maybe. We don't get Soto than maybe teoscar? 1st is either Petey or Santander. The dodgers showed us maton ain't getting it done. They need to iron out pitching best they can but if you're going to be at the best the pitching has to be refined. I'm hoping Jake can come back in pen to be used like butto. Idk if he'd be comfortable but I think baseball evolution is going to show you need like 2 guys in the pen to be half game type pitchers. 2 3 4 innings types. I could be wrong. LGM

40. People talking about “Pete’s gonna decline he’s 30 or whatever!!!” but want Cohen to break the bank for Arenado at 33?
    Get Soto. Keep Pete. If you get just Arenado you’re saying bye to both Soto AND Pete, that’s inexcusably bad optically, and for chances at a trophy.

42. I'd rather see them swing a deal with the Mariners for some pitching. I know that Dipoto seems to want to hoard all of his major-league pitching, but, they have some solid young bullpen options. They also are very weak at 2B. How about sending Jeff McNeil and cash for double-A pitchers Brandyn Garcia and either Jimmy Joyce or Ashton Izzy? Garcia put up some great numbers at AA and has a 97mph fastball, Izzy is a promising pitcher while Joyce could be a viable option for the bullpen.
