I do my hw to your videos, I love your content man
Hey Corbin, I'd take that rotation in a split second… Great Job… Now, lets focus on the Bull Pen… Thanks Corbin, outstanding as always.
Don't know that i love Abbot but he's shown a lot of potential but he hasn't lived it yet. Criswell is out of options so hes staying at the MLB level this year as a long relief/spot starter. Whitlock needs to be a high leverage reliever from now on he just can't stay healthy throwing so many pitches. I'd love Fried and I think he should be out top target but I don't know if the Dodgers will let us cause if they come calling with even similar money he's going there both for the better team and its his home. So best case that I'd like to see… Fried, Castillo (via trade with Seattle), Gio, Houck, Bello… I don't see this happening but it's the best semi-realistic option I could see.
I think it would make sense to go to the bullpen next personally.
Criswell, I believe, is a free agent. Also he no longer has minor league options. I think the Sox move on from him.
What a great rotation Corbin nice choices! I would vote bullpen next.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it..the rotation was solid with home grown players progressing very well….Tanner..crochet…Giolito …Bello …Crawford…
One of our outfielders has really got to be moved to make room for Anthony. The most logical one is Wilyer. Any trade involving Wilyer and Kutter should just about get you any pitcher you want without having to throw in one of the big 4. So, predicting a pitcher like Abbot to fill that spot is low-balling your potential. You add Crochet instead of Abbot and your cooking with fire.
If only.
This seems to be a very thoughtful and realistic projection. My questions about it: Won't competition for Fried be so intense his contract goes into the stratosphere? If they got Fried, why not use one of the internal options as No. 5 and instead of Abbot acquire a great lefty reliever? Would love to see a breakdown on Abbot. Would the Reds really trade him?
Corbin I like the rotation but the only thing that I think that might not happen is john henry been a bitch
Max Fried is not going to happen … John Henry will not pony up the money for Craig Breslow to get into the "bidding war" to acquire Fried …
I agree that there may be an outside possibility that Cutter Crawford might be traded away … However, I'd rather prefer Crawford remaining with the team with Breslow trading away more from his surplus of left handed hitting talent for another promising young arm … Between Fenway and Worcester, pitching depth will continue to be crucial in making it through a 162 game MLB season. … Breslow has to anticipate and be well prepared with adequate roster depth to face ongoing pitching related injuries …
If we get the rotation you project, I would prefer Crawford in the bullpen with Criswell for long relief and spot starts. With Fitts and Priester at Worcester that is solid depth.
Just heard a fun opinion,a man said FSG is calculating when to spend money to make the biggest gain. If this is true, we might have Max Fried this offseason, and successfully enter the postseason next year with our healthy bullpen.
I think that you should wait until the beginning of free agency before making these type predictions. Do the RS resign any of their more expensive free agents? Who gets the QO offer? Options decisions? I don't see the RS picking two starting pitchers of that quality, but I really don't have any better ideas. Resigning Martin+Refsynder+Pivetta+Jansen+Reese+O'Neill are possibilities. Know the field first.
You are right way too early. Better at end of November. but we have a few more days till the offseason begins. I am 50/50 on Max Fried. I do not think the Sox will sign someone with a QO. That does not mean I would not like to see it happen. I think the second will be Bieber. Yes, tell me more about Abbott.. Criswell is out of options so I could see him being traded too.
They could also go AAA/ Major league ready pictures and make Fitts the 5th starter. I see that more likely.
Just like most diehard fans I'd like them to sign an ace in free agency however that seems unlikely because of ownership however I believe will try hard get ace through a trade. I'm not going to predict which one yet. Hot stove can't get here soon enough?
Best Case Scenario They Sign Fried And Trade For ChrochetThey Have A lot Of Options Breslow Needs To Act Quickly
I'd love to add Fried! Hopefully Giolito is doing his best sales pitch. I do think Crawford could be ued as trade bait to add to the bullpen . Another great video Corbin….yes! Please breakdown Abbott
Love the lineup but I would rather sign Fried, Flaherty, then go with Houck, Gio, Bayo, Kutter as our 6th man/long inning reliever.
so we’re just assuming at this point Sasaki won’t be posted? or we’re assuming the Sox won’t spend?
I like the Abbott target. I think with how he is less proven, less than ideal hr/9 and K/9 one would hope he would take less than a top 100 prospect to acquire.
I think Pittsburg should be a logical target as well, we have a history with cherington and trades. They desperately need hitters. Wonder if Jared jones or bubba chandler might be dangled to get a high impact top prospect bat to help their lineup. If Oneill Cruz is moving to the OF could Campbell or Mayer-> jones or chandler?
One other absolutely bonkers trade that I thought of (that Red Sox fans have roasted me for) Roman Anthony/vaughn Grissom/richard Fitts for mason miller/brent Rooker. You get your righty middle of the order power bat, keep the defense in the OF, miller can either stay as an elite top 5 closer or with his 3 pitches, electric fastball and slider and impeccable command, eventually move back to the starting rotation, this is kind of the crochet deal a year before he converts to SP, and get 5 years of control. Anthony might be too steep of a price but chances he hits 30 hrs next year and rip open the championship window are pretty slim, getting Rooker to give you 70-80 xbhs might swing the AL for the Red Sox. Depends if they want they want to accelerate the window or do the long play because prospects like Anthony don’t come around every year.
Very interesting offseason. Crochet is probably still the target because of him adding that nasty sinker down the stretch and upping his GB despite having the best K% in baseball and being a lefty in general gives you a bit of a bump.
