  1. I agree it’s a good hire, but the reason we’re so pessimistic, as BA put it, is that the outlook is so bleak regardless. It’s hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel because, well, there is no light at the end of the tunnel. Unlike 2017/2018, we really don’t have any prospects coming to save us, and we have an owner who refuses to pay elite free agents or the little in-house talent we produced. Why in the world would we be optimistic?
