Will Silovs or Lankinen play?
They are downplaying Pete’s struggle because it’s a huge problem for the management that don’t need people to get rattled by it. They know they messed up on that contract. What can they do? Nothing but keep playing him hoping he will better better someday

Pety is paid at the elite level , he has been playing at a journeyman level since last March. What do you think management is thinking. How long would your boss tolerate underperformance? What team would want him at his current salary. If he turns his game around by Christmas all will be forgotten . If he doesn’t ? The league has seen many other so called elite players fizzle out, fail to fulfill the promise of glory their initial skill beckoned, be traded and eventually drift into obscurity. The longer the underperformance goes on the less likely recovery is.
I greatly respect Hughes' humility and dedication to always improving various facets of his game—he is a true Canuck captain and leader!
Every player has had struggles….just remember COACH!! You’re easier to replace than the team! Get your players to trust you and good things will happen.
I think tocchet needs to work with Petey. It's on him to figure a system that works with the player. Just like Ovi, it took a coach to come in and build a system around Ovi. The same needs to be done with Petey.

I can skate faster than Pettersson, and also have better balance.
Pettersson needs them dual blade skates.

they both need to be sent to the minors. Pettersen is pathetic at least silovs had an excuse he was left to fend off multiple 2 on 1 and 3 on 2. Just brutal. Trade him or have him sit out. He is lost and not getting better by the day.
Petey lost nearly every puck battle and it all comes down to effort. Guy doesnt even try anymore
