Saints coach Dennis Allen’s job appears to be safe for now, despite a six-game losing streak that makes this year’s Saints look like a lost cause.
Our Saints Insiders — Times-Picayune columnists Jeff Duncan and Rod Walker, beat writer Matthew Paras and host Zach Ewing — break down the situation, including:

  1. Please then up your audio, move your mics closer, or speak louder!!! I enjoy your podcast, but some of youll appear to whisper. I know we suck, but there's no need to whisper this…we are already aware of the fact

  2. Win? Why do we need to win? The old man is dead and the team owner is incompetent. Great woman. Big heart. But she doesn’t know how to run a team!

  3. No one in the local media holds any of them accountable because they don’t want to be kicked out of the club. Whole organization is a joke and there is no one holding anyone accountable. It’s pathetic. At least when we sucked before Bree’s you knew old man Benson was pissed and wanted to win. This ownership is asleep at the wheel.

  4. Mrs. Benson is great for the city and the state. But there is no other owner in the league that would allow this to go on with their team. Dennis Allen will continue to coach Mickey Loomis will be the GM. I'm frustrated

  5. If DA's job is safe next season, you can expect 90% of Saints fans to fully bail on them. Their pocketbooks will hurt big time. Saints fans have reached their breaking point. They will no longer support this horrible clown show.

  6. The QB play has been so bad, it creates most of the other issues. The defense gets tired, they get discouraged because they know help isn’t coming from a Rattler lead offense. Let’s see how things go when a real NFL QB takes the helm again. He doesn’t have to be top 5 but even a middle of the road QB gives the team a fighting chance and the team will feel like they can play hard and have a shot to win.

  7. Loomis is not accountable to anyone. he's in the succession plan. He is holding this team hostage wiht his insistence that DA can do it despite all available evidence for years. He is trying to prove personal vendettas that Sean wasn't the reason they won when everyone knows it. The guy is a glorified accountant who basically just cut checks while Sean was making all the moves.

  8. The truth is ugly fellas. But thanks for speaking out.

The absolute nerve of Loomis and Gayle to act like this team belongs to them and not the good, loyal, faithful people of Louisiana and the Gulf South. Like the ones that love and patronize this product no matter the circumstances and Like the ones that went to Tiger Stadium in 05. You will NOT spit in our face and call it rain

  9. Not sure people get it. With all them injuries the Saint's are not going to fire him. They will most likely let him coach out his contract. Then they will find someone else when hos contract ends in 2025.

  10. Man stop trying to make excuses for the saints everybody got injuries bro everybody in the league have injuries you guys are sitting up here making up excuses for this goddamn team and is a goddamn shame cuz fans don't get excuses fast don't get excuses to buy them high ass tickets😂
