  1. It was terrible compensation for the Panthers. He needed to be traded and that was the right move. But he could’ve waited and got more I think

  2. I agree with what Chris said before. We need to get rid of the remaining players that have been through the losing culture. Get some more rookies and go from there.

  3. Last week was terrible play calling bc Canales has no confidence in BY. Expect the same vanilla/predictable offense this Sunday. Expect the same weak defense. Expect another loss unfortunately.

  4. Aside from the obvious locker room issues, the fact that we can't afford to spend big on a guy like DJ right now with so many needs elsewhere, the relatively small cost of acquiring him initially, the fact that we're unlikely to get any compensatory picks anyway due to how active we will be in free agency, the lack of WR-needy contender teams willing to part with assets to take on a guy in the last year of his contract, and the fact that everyone knew we had to trade him if we wanted anything for him, there is one thing I don't see enough people talking about.

Trades like this aren't just for getting assets. They're about building team image and reputation among players. We are a franchise that, right now, is not an attractive destination for many free agents. We already have to overpay to get people here. How willing do you think guys will be to come here if it seems like we don't conduct player-friendly business? By letting DJ go somewhere he wants to be and try to earn a payday on a contender, we send the message that we do take player interest into account. Right now, we need any edge we can get for attracting talent here.

  5. I think we all had to think about the trade and realize what we were dealing with we wanted a 3rd round but the NFL doesn’t look at him like that and u can only take what they offer. Had to let him go!

  6. Like Chris said it's best to go full youth movement and grow the team with young guys. Best to let vets go to a winning situation since this is probably a 2-3 yr renovation project for Dan and Dave to fix the mistakes that the previous two regimes made. Also if they spy a QB at first rd pick then I say take your guy and fix D and depth with rest of draft picks and free agency.

  7. Pepper could just pay the best Executive Prospect at GM & make him the highest paid at the position.. Then pay 18 million to 20 million for a Top 5 headcoah.. Say nothing and just sign the checks.. 3 years SB..

  8. How can we call someone a backup QB based of ONE year and a few games?!?! The league has a development problem…many QB break downs has shown that there were no garbage yards…
