I love how simple Jokics offensive game is. One move I love in particular is how he backs up the defender until the defender is behind or under the basket so Jokic can make a high percentage shot. And even if Jokic misses the defender will most likely not get the rebound bec his reach is being blocked by the basket or the ball will bounce off the glass toward Jokic and away from the defender.
Glad to see Jokic taking a more dominant approach. Wish Murray would go back to his injury-recovery mode of 2022 where he mostly played True Point, eg. get the ball over half court and then let the team play and just set high screens for guys like MPJ, or run his own pick-and-pop plays for easy uncontested shots. Murray dribbling the air out of the ball while MPJ / Gordon / Jokic try to set screens for each other, or dribbling the air out of the ball while he tries to run the "two man game" all game long … when they should ONLY be running in the 4th quarter of a game when it matters … is dumb and annoying to watch.
i dont care what anyone says, hes my goat and at worst top3 all time, time will tell.
(1) Nikola is a great basketball player. His game reminds me of Larry Bird's. (2) Nikola needs more help. Maybe the Nuggets will make some moves to improve their roster? (Maybe they should have done that in the off season.)
European basketball is just superior. Top3 players in nba are european.
