  1. Happy Halloween Corbin! Congratulations to the Dodgers on winning the World Series, and the Red Sox do need to spend a fair bit this off-season!

  2. fried would be a good option. corbin burnes proved he can win in the AL east! relievers will be a big deal. a good backup catcher? connor wong could see time at other positions if teel is ready!

  3. I'm so glad we can officially get into the hot stove. Rumors are fine but until something actually happens I'm going to be skeptical. If ownership lets him I believe Breslow is going to do something big as always we'll see.

  4. This is what I think and how it has been flowing through.. I think about 3 years ago the Sox ownership said we have a ton of prospects coming up so lets get Devers planted they also wanted Story to be his true form and planted they signed some other players to anchor other positions I honestly think they were just trying to get the Anchors signed and get prospects flowing then make a few prospect trade to bolster up weaknesses and build the team.. Now the direction will change our pitching is too weak so I assume they go out and spend some big money to beef the pitching this offseason and they will probably trade some prospects for more pitching other than that I doubt we see any big offseason non pitcher deals because we have such a huge prospect list they want to build from within but they know pitching will take some money to get back to playoff form.

  5. Left hander Patrick Corbin signed for 1 or 2 years and a trade to Diamondbacks for Jordan Montgomery ,,shore up the bullpen …. Forget the all the big money BS!! it just isn't worth it because of the years involved.. I sure do feel bad for my Fresno State Alumni Aaron Judge 😢😢
    GO SOX

  6. Just based on recent years I’m skeptical. I’m thinking they’ll at least try to sign Fried and a Kikushi/Bueller type. Eventually settling on the later and otherwise stand pat. They’ll push a “we need to improve within” narrative. They call up the kids in May and talk about how much better they’ll be with a year of experience in 2026.

  7. Let’s get Garrett Whitlock healthy again. Offer $100M+ extensions to Jarren Duran/Tanner Houck??? That seems more doable than having to overpay to get a top free agent.

  8. The Red Sox total 2024 salaries which were about $176 Million vs the MLB 2024 Luxury Tax threshold of $237 Million … That put them about 60 Million or 25.7% under the Luxury Cap … It's reasonable for Alex Speier to now assume that there is enough salary room for the team to make a bigger splash during this off season …

However, don't get overly excited or at all hopeful that Craig Breslow will be given the significant "full throttle" additional dollars needed to outbid and acquire a Corbin Burnes, Max Fried, Jack Flaherty. Matt Snell or Nathan Eavoldi … Return on Investment (ROI) and risk assessment management will continue to be first and foremost on John Henry's mind this off season when it comes to evaluating and investing in free agent pitching talent …

  9. I'd love to see a mix between some big scale trades and some large spending. Maybe enough to snag Fried and Bryan Woo or Logan Gilbert. I think it can be done, but it takes being bold and wanting to win.

  10. Congrats to Mookie Betts for winning another ring 💍 👏

Now let's see if the Red Sox will start acting like the Red Sox of old and start spending and trading 😊

  11. Another excellent video/analysis Corbin. Attendance this year was ~2.66, the same as it was last year when we finished last. Until fans stop going, FSG has no incentive to spend or care. It'll be the same crap as last year- we're in on this guy, that guy, etc. and end up with a couple of low risk, high ceiling reclamation projects that might hit (O'Neil for example). They won't go anywhere near the luxury tax because incremental ROI makes no sense to them. And yes, there is no chance we sign Soto (and probably less than 10% we sign Fried) because we're simply not a big market team anymore.
