  1. My best bet odds wise was nuggets as a first round exit….they might not make it that far. I don't think a trades coming the first move I would expect is to fire mike Malone. With the friction with the fo already there he's the fall guy

  2. I think Jokic can carry this team on his back for years, he's like LeBron an all around big guy and probably still one of the best players this season. they just have a slow start.

  3. As a Nuggets fan, I really don't wanna overexaggerate since it's only two games into the season but it seems like this squad is out of wack. Hopefully it's because they have a couple new guys and there's a lot of expectations that might make some guys scared that they have to step up but I really hope they can find their chemistry and improve here pretty soon.

  4. The problem with an MPJ trade is that he's easily Denver's best 3pt shooter. Denver was already near the bottom of the league last year in 3pt attempt rate and makes. Then they lost KCP and replaced him in the starting lineup with Christian Braun. If you trade Porter Jr, who are you getting back that doesn't make your 3pt shooting even worse? You just can't contend in the NBA in 2024 with terrible low-volume 3pt shooting.

  5. I actually really like this trade at 3:37 as a Nuggets fan. I have thought about it before. It makes sense from the Nuggets side because MPJ is too inconsistent of a shooter and he has his limitations on both ends of the floor due to prior back surgeries. Trading MPJ for Cameron Johnson and DFS would help Nuggets save some money too similar to what the Wolves did with trading KAT for 2 players on smaller contracts. The issue would be convincing Nets to make the trade. It's not like Nets are trying to shop Cam and DFS. Unless they value MPJ more than Cam and DFS and believe MPJ could be a core of their franchise, otherwise they have no reason to take on a larger contract plus Zeke's salary as a rebuilding team. If the Nuggets wants to make it work, they probably have to throw in Christian Braun or Peyton Watson to sweeten the deal. As much as I like Braun, he's probably not a starting level SG on a contending team like the Nuggets at this moment of his career due to his shooting inefficiencies. I just don't think he'll ever be a high volume 3pt shooter or a threat from 3s and he doesn't take any mid-range jumpers too. I would consider him a "spot" starter on the Nuggets right now. By trading Braun, Nuggets would solve their spacing issue in the starting lineup too. A lineup of Murray, Johnson, Finney-Smith, Gordon, and Jokic is honestly very solid. You now have shooting, defense, and size at the SG and SF position. Most importantly, you get off the MPJ and Zeke's contract for future financial flexibility in case DFS walks or the trade doesn't work out. It's still early in the season. If the Nuggets still hasn't figure it out by December or the trade deadline, this is a trade that I would love to see happen. I like this trade more than the Bogdanovic and Hunter trade from the Hawks. A lot of Nuggets fans want to trade for Bogdanovic specifically due to the his Serbian connection with Jokic as well. Those two trade targets aren't bad, but I just feel like Hunter is very injury prone and their defense would not be as good as Johnson and DFS.
