  3. While I agree that I would have been disappointed if they lost a flat energy performance game. A little more positive please. We are in second place and in your 4 team conference podcast with your colleges nobody gave the kings any good reviews. You also didn’t defend them. Everything was a matter a fact.   4. I was in the arena when Max Scherzer pitched the 9th inning to close out the Giants in the NLDS for the Dodgers. It was such an awesome atmosphere as it also happened during the intermission between the second and third periods. Dieter had us cheering like we were at the Dodgers game.

  9. 1st Congrats to the Dodgers. As most fans I had the WS on TV and the Kings on the comp. Eddie your observations were right on. This was a Must win for the Kings if we want to win the Pacific division. More congrats to the KKK (humm?) Kopitar, Kempe and Kuemper. 8 road games 8 pts. 3 home games 6 pts. I'm as happy as a puppy with 2 peters… (oops). Let's get serious and I'm going to make one last push in case someone from the office of Rob Blake reads these posts. Neither the Kings nor the Leafs are going to win the Stanley Cup this year with this roster. However, Toronto has been waiting since ’65 for another cup and we can give it to them in 3 to 4 years. Before I present my proposal, I want to reference the movie “Moneyball”. When you lose a key player, you have to make up for him in the “Aggregate”. The other reference to the movie that I’ll make is that Q.B. is – Billy Beane. A young man with great potential, brought up way too soon and couldn’t deliver. But the potential is still there… so here’s my trade proposal. We give Toronto the “Aggregate” and a bit more. We send them Q.B., Fiala, and either the first draft picks for the next 2 or 1 and 2 next year. Q.B. can put up 20 goals and under the right tutelage, a 30 goals scorer. Fiala is there now. And with the right picks, Toronto can further strengthen the offense as well as the defense, making them an NHL force in 3 years. What do we want in return? Auston Mathews. The way that Q.B. is a Toronto boy, Mathews is a California boy, and although he has a no-trade clause… he’ll want to play in L.A. the way Gretzky did. We need this because Kopi and Doughty have only a couple of good years left. We need the 3rd cup now, let Toronto have it later.
