1. It is time to recalibrate. Any hope to be "in the mix" come March is a fantasy. Hire a defensive coach and see if you can trade for some experience on the blueline. Lack of effort is all on MSL.

2. To be honest I don't think there having fun … Playing right now ,and I don't know what the problem is but something isn't working for sure.i can't believe people thought they were ready for playoffs .. Goaltending?

8. Dont forget what team we are. we want to see more and we probably will but not on a whole team level. Individual steps, then together later.we are looking at getting one of Porter martone, Roger mcqueen, anton frondell, etc

9. The D awareness in front of the net was a glaring problem. Too much puck watching and not looking for the loose man in front.

Just watch a Laval game and watch a Habs game it's night and day and so easy to see witch team is coached better MSL is coaching like he has a veteran team and lots of talent he is not coaching to what the team has he is hurting the young talent you got to put a better system in place to help this young be out and go attend in

14. Love the Habs , but gonna be a long ,long haul … for God's sake what are Anderson ,Dvorak and Armia doing on this team !! We must get a quality golatender . Hutson is a beauty , a beauty .

15. For 2 years, I wrote on this channel over & OVER again, that MSL needed an Assistant with solid NHL coaching experience. That would have made Marty's learning experience easier. But, it's too late. Our prospects are getting older and there is no time to have a rookie coach behind the bench. Personally, I don't think he's caught out for that.

17. I truly believe that MSL has lost his bench. His mishandling of players such as Dach (left aside for long shootout), Xhekaj (little tolerance for his mistakes), and his iinability to achieve some degree of on-ice stability. He is not getting through his players.

19. Before these coaches were hired nobody had ever coached an NHL game. Are you kidding? This isn't 4 dads coaching their kids soccer game after school. Are Gorton and hughes to blame for this mess? Yes, one hundred percent. How do you hand your team over to inexperienced coaches? This is supposed to be a professional sport. Hughes brought Barron in on a trade with Colorado and he traded Harris and Kovacevic away. Now we have Barron, Strubel, Maillot who are not ready to play in this league. If I was Xhekaj I would ask for a trade. He doesn't deserve MSLs bullshit. What a bloody mess, the team looks like it is ready to quit. Only 2 years left on the contracts for MSL,Hughes and Gorton, Molson should walk in and fire all three of them. They are incompetent.

21. Habs NEED an NHL goalie ..!! They should have KEPT …KOVICEVIC …and traded Savard .!! Also NEED a new BENCH BOSS …COACH ..!! KEEP MARTY but add a bench game time coach …with experience..!! So tired of this gong show ..!!😢

23. I guess Marty has lost the locker room, Hughes should recognize it. Marty seems not to like the ones that fans like. Arbor for a long time has been his target for humiliation, He doesn't want Hutson to be on the first unit. He is now after Caufield!

29. MSL seems to be more concerned with appearances than results. These defensive pairings were a disaster tonight. Also, Primeau has to be replaced/upgraded. Trade him and a #2 draft choice to get a goalie who's at least able to be a decent backup to Monty.

30. Sucks to see us choke again this season while we most certainly could have Necas who is now 5G 10A in 9 games played. We really miss a guy like that and, of course, a good defense and, of course, a good goalie. To have 47goals against in just 11games played is a freaking disaster

I say put Marty as a head coach in Laval or as an assistant coach because his coaching is great for morale and development we need that type of coaching but if we want results and and a coach who can best use the talent Marty is bringing out of these young guys. I love the example of FC Barcelona, for those who don’t watch football Barca had a coach like Marty who developed young guys but had no structure and a simple playbook that was so predictable the team didn’t get results but this season Barca hired a coach that has proved he can win at the highest level and Barca is honestly one of if not the best club in the world so yeah Marty in Laval or as an assistant coach and let’s get a coach who can load up our arsenal so we that these young guys can learn to be flexible and lethal on a lot of different plays

32. Opinions on getting a seasoned coach to help the staff similar to what Ottawa did with Jacques Martin last year and if I'm not mistaken he is still an advisor

36. I think most of the team is not buying into the system that St. Louis is trying out. Looked at the hockeystatcards for the game for the Habs….a lot of players in the negative. Players deep in the negative this game: Armia, Evans, Heineman, Anderson, Barron (think his bell maybe still ringing), Struble, Matheson, Guhle (has he truly recovered from his injury?) Everyone knows that you have to protect the slot. Also watched Montreal Hockey I/O and mention of lack of intensity.

37. Trading Kovacevich has led to many new defense man on the roster.

38. Habs Hype = $, they are two-three years before they deserve the hype. Caufield and Hutie can’t do defense, everybody has to cover for them. The systems have to work for all players.

39. Play Xhekaj and ride out his learning curve. I hope they don't waste another tough talent and then expect his younger brother to stick around.
