Jalen Green Duels Luka Doncic As Houston Rockets Outlast Dallas Mavericks In Statement Win

Host Jackson Gatlin (@JTGatlin) reacts to and discusses the Houston Rockets 108-102 statement win against the Dallas Mavericks. The Rockets showcased their physical prowess by outrebounding the Mavericks 50-37, including a staggering 18 offensive rebounds that translated into 20 second-chance points. Jalen Green emerged as a clutch performer, scoring 11 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter to fend off a Mavs comeback. The Rockets defensive strategy effectively contained Luka Dončić, forcing him into difficult shots and limiting his playmaking. Tari Eason and Amen Thompson made significant defensive contributions off the bench, particularly against Dončić, while Fred VanVleet’s shooting struggles raised concerns. This episode dives into the Rockets’ evolving strategy and the impact of key players on their recent success.

Tune in to explore how the Rockets’ physicality and strategic adjustments are reshaping their season.

  1. Sorry dude, part jalens game in first played 30 minutes and his last 6 minutes. 30 minutes, miserable shooting, turnovers, uncontestet boards.
Key players who set the fundament for the win were dillon and alpi.
For alpi it was a real dirty game, drawn how many fouls?

  2. Amen and Tari as the best wing defensive duo is just not a good take. A quick defensive rating lookup this year and OKC, Spurs, Magic, and Cavs all have better wing defensive duos. Amen and Tari are not even individually ranked in the top 25 in defensive rating. Alp is the only Rocket ranked in the top 25.

  3. alpi ye kaç fual yaptılar sayamadım üzerine birde açık verilmeyen fauller okadar verilmediki. Bu sene ime alpiyi daha çok reboundlara odaklamış anlaşılan çok savaşıyor defansta rim de.

  4. Honestly it’s not terrible that we’re winning despite FVV, if it continues it’ll be way easier to bring him back at a much lower number and reduced role (FVV off the bench is still good)
