With all due respect to Larkin, confidence is not the issue, lack of toughness is. Any NHLer can hit and forecheck. If you aren’t playing with confidence then make sure you hit someone every shift and make the other team take a hit to make a play. This team has too many egos thinking they are the second coming of Pavel Datsyuk and are going to dance through the other team’s defense and make highlight reel goals. This team doesn’t have anyone that can do that. Kane can’t do that. This team, wether they like it or not, is blue collar and gritty and need to be realistic about their talent level and buy into being a team that out toughs the other team by wearing them down. Bring Austin back, he and Fischer are the only ones playing like they know who they are.
If you boys get the legs moving and play with speed, good things will happen. But the pace of play has not been there.
Man the audio on this (and a lot of current media availability) is horrendous. I hate seeing so many journalists shoving old iPhones with beat up mics into the shot when it’s simple to use a quality audio source.
Boring, uninspiring hockey. Hard to watch and it’s not working with this personnel.
did Larkin just really say Newsy gives them the underlying numbers so we’re all good on defense? Lol

There is a such thing as too much practice. Lalonde has to let the guys show There offensive capabilities instead handcuffing them just to only focus on defence. I feel his system isn't working
I think there is a chemistry issue as well

Larkin is a third line center on a cup contender. Until this team has a real leader as captain, they will continue to lose.

This team and organization have a losing mentality. It's embarrassing. Think I'm done watching till they get a new coach and see some trades/moves made. Whatever the reason why they are playing bad there needs to be major changes. I can't support this. Jack Adams is rolling over in his grave.
Coach seems like that bug is about to bite him. Don't feel bad about a necessary day off, coach. Long season. Take care of yourself and be 💯 for the boys. God bless.
