  12. Yankee beat writers now trying to spin it Soto out of NY cuz the yanks shit the bed. Lol. Yanks lost to dodgers in 5 with Soto. Mets went 6 without him. With him and another starter we win the WS. We were two wins away from a championship. They would have smoked the yanks like they did all season.

  13. I doubt dodgers will go for juan soto, but i guarantee you they will be happyhe gets paid 600mil. The higher juan soto gets paid, the better they look for getting ohtani for only 700mil.

  19. I hope Yankees or Mets sign Soto to 700mil contract. If they do theyll have to sacrifice other areas in the lineup. Mets are a better overall team so theyll probably be okay but the Yankees need lots of Defensive upgrades. Guys guy Betts & Lindor are hitting about the same as Soto but theyre Gold Glove defenders. Soto's defense is average at best. Ohtani got 700mil but he defer 90% of his contract and he makes all that money back to the ball club. Soto's not going draw in casual fans like Ohtani

  21. As a Yankee fan, I hope Soto signs with another team. 14 years is a long time to pay a player, who may not even be healthy to play baseball than. In 10 years he’ll be a DH, and Yankee fans will be wishing they could trade him away and free up the payroll for other needs. These long term FA deals rarely work out for long. I hope the Yankees decide to free up their money and bring in FAs who will help the team, at third and first base, a closer…

  22. Take a note pad. And put 700 million. And then put a list of all the free agents. And tell me all the players you could get for 700 million. One guy is not going to put you over the top .

  23. He can challenge but doesn’t mean he will like the response of the teams. No team in their right mind will pay anything above 400mill a decade for a hitter. If they do, then greatly that owner is not right in their mind. Soto is a damn good hitter, but he just ain’t famous or important enough at the global state to get crazy high offers. Sure the teams will bid and make offers but i doubt he can get more than Judge.

  33. The Mets free agents… Not named Pete Alonso… that I would definitely resign are Manaea, Winker, Iglesias, Ryne Stanek… As for Soto show him the money and Alonso pay him a fair contract to resign.. As for another Starter definitely try to get Corbin Burnes..
