Contenders To Pretenders: The Nuggets Have Fallen Off

Sometimes an early-season slump is just that – a slump – no different or more significant than a rough patch at any other point of the year.

But sometimes those early-season struggles can be a troubling sign of what’s to come. And that’s the case in Denver, where the Nuggets’ shaky start is showing us just how far the 2023 champions have fallen.

  1. Well after this recording they did get two wins, but needed overtime for both games of a back to back set against the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets, so clearly there's still issues. One thing that can't be questioned however is the greatness of Jokic.

  2. You are very right about Nuggets. It's not the "early slump" – it's a return to obscurity and mediocrity.
The only reason anyone talked about the Nuggets in the past 7-8 years was Nikola Jokic.
A lucky draft pick at 42-50… A lucky fluke after half of century of NOTHING and disgraceful failure.

Denver nuggets organization is garbage. The only reason Kroenke bought it was – Nuggets were DIRT CHEAP. Kroenkes bought it for about $400M… And now they're looking at about $3.5B valuation (thank you nikola jokic). I'm not going to expand on this – that's a topic for another in-depth conversation – but the bottom line point is that Kroenkes are planning to SELL nuggets at this high (while they still own Jokics contract) and pocket about $3B. Hence the cost control and not spending on replacing the players or improving the roster.

So, the point it – Nuggets GM and front office is a den of amateurs and incompetent idiots. None of them would find employment in g-league, or in mcdonalds for that matter. Just happy to receive the check and have some med coverage – for doing nothing.
Just the way Kroenkes want it.

But more – the whole nuggets "ecosystem" (media, fans) is even worse.
It's an environment of low-expectations and mediocrity. Amateurs (like Mares and his "crew" and bunch of soy-boys cheerleaders)

I'm seeing today a lot of nuggets fans (on their soy-boy circle-jerk forums) shi* on M.Conley… And that's just comical. M.Conley is a full-on grown male. A MAN. An ADULT MALE. And A true baller.
None of which applies to that faker Murray. Lets not even mention Ant…

In the world of grown-ups, M.Conley is worth about 2 Murrays and couple of picks on top.

So… yes, unfortunately you're right. Nuggets are s*it again. This little episode with Jokic just proves it.

I'm still hoping, for Jokic's sake, that he'll demand a trade before the trade deadline – and by doing so a) get himself in the winning environment, and b) f*k the Kroenkes plan to make $3B in the pending sale (on Jokics back).

  3. so many coping nuggets fans. the roster has been getting worse every offseason since cruising to a 2023 ring and jokic needs a solid team for his playmaking to work. murray at his best is a fringe all star but after all these injuries isn't performing well and is overpaid, mpjs contract does not help. they're still gonna make the playoffs but with such a stacked west something needs to change!
