  1. Long overdue

As great as he was lets be honest he only reached a fraction of his potential

If he'd had the mamba work ethic and that organisation had surrounded him with better talent who knows what could have happened

  2. Yes, yes yes finally a number. Congratulations, my man. Love you so so much congratulations on the Hall of Fame and the nets number too you deserve this all so so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  3. Can someone with the Raptors please get rid of Drake as an ambassador/mascot? No one can stand him. This night was about Vince and we still had to hear about Drake.

  4. As much as this was a night to remember of what he did it’s also a night to reflect on what could’ve been. VC and McGrady could’ve brought titles here!! Not one but multiple! Two generational talents. Imagine both in their prime here lol so unfair

  5. Vince, you were Canada's Micheal Jordan, If only you and McGrady stuck it out here in Canada, But we had to get Leonard to get the job done. Who also is a superstar. Yeah there are warmer cities to play in then Toronto, But Raptors parade after winning it all shows there are no greater fans then in Toronto, Nevertheless, appreciate all you did Vince for Toronto and basketball,

  6. I remember everyone in school knew about Vince Carter and his shoes. People who didn't even watch sports let alone basketball knew him. He was like literally Canada's Michael Jordan.

If you bought his shoes you could jump higher 😂

  7. It's so wild to think that the Raptors have aging legends to retire numbers for. I know it's been 30 years but I still feel like 1995 was just a decade ago. Raptors have come a long way. I'm a hockey fan who didn't pay attention to basketball or the Raptors until Vince Carter showed up. The guy literally captured our imaginations. Those who are still bitter about him "leaving" need to get over yourselves. He was run outta town by corporate old heads who only cared about the Leafs.

  8. This is Honestly HILARIOUS considering how long he was persona non grata in Toronto. Seriously prior to his final appearance he was CONSTANTLY BOOED in TO. Not saying he doesn't deserve it cause he does but it's funny how much finally winning a championship changes fans opinion about 15.
