You’re so gullible lol I’d bet my house on him signing elsewhere
Hector Gomez said Freddie Freeman was going to the jays he can’t be trusted
Jays aren't getting Soto and I don't really want him…if he signs that's all of the Jays FA $ this offseason….if he doesn't sign with Toronto they are going to make the same mistake they made with Ohtani last year
Atkins the clown is talented at destroying a clubhouse. He leaks info that he is willing to backup the cash truck for Soto but has failed to make decent extension offers to his young cornerstone Allstars and now one wants out and the other will probably follow. F**K Atkins and F**K Shapiro for ruining a team with so much potential. It's only when the newly renovated stadium is empty that ownership will realize the mistake of not firing the clown show.
Jays went runner up with Ohtani, therefore they are one of a very few teams that can meet Soto's contract demands. Dodgers are out of play for him, which is huge. Other teams (NY, NYM, SF, Cubs, etc) weren't willing to go as far as the Jays for Ohtani. Why would they for Soto? This is legit Jays fans. Rogers has deep pockets. Also, I don't think they make the same mistake of waiting to make moves until Soto's decides. I expect them to go after 1 of Santander, Bregman, Hernandez, Adames and use that signing to help convince Soto to sign. If he doesn't their offseason isn't ruined by waiting too long on Soto.
extend vladdy and bo….numbers combined better than soto and same price….vladdy dam near same himself as soto
People acting like signing Soto wouldn't immediately make them way better. As long as they can trade bigger contracts like Springer, Gausman, then they still have money to spend for the rest of the FA they need.
The Dodgers have an all-star lineup. If the Jays want to compete they would have to sign Vlady and Bo and Teoscar and Santander. Is there room or money for Soto?
Soto did say he would like to play with Vladdy. We’ll see.
You sweet gullible man. The money you give Soto can over pay 4 or 5 solid players that can really help this team next year. Sadly that’s what the jays need to do to bring real ball players. Overpay them
Sorry we have a young team!?? This isn’t back in 2020…One player doesn’t fix the roster… this team needs several things but not enough space to do it… trading Springer right now will be impossible, among no depth in the minors… we are terrible at developing players… bring AA back and fire them all.
Its no guarantee, but I always expected this news. If Soto wants to play elsewhere, he will likely be turning turn down the biggest deal…which could still be a possibility.
This is why we ended up with Turner and IKF, not Belinger and Soler. Fans call it bad GMing, but you need to prepare for spending on this level.
As a Jays fan, this is all I want. A realistic opportunity for something great.
Nothing moves on until Soto is signed. Jays should put their offer out on Day 1 and try to expedite the signing so they can continue to work on the other needs.
if Jays is to sign Soto, I am going to quit watching the Jays
we leverage
I hope the Blue Jays are talking to Juan and Vlad at the same time? Would $700 million over 14 years get it done? That would take Juan to age 40 averaging $50 million per year.
Ahhh yes let’s go All Out on Soto just to watch our garbage bullpen blow the game in the 7th. Just like Othani last year, 1 super star will not fix all the holes this team has.
I know you do vids for views and clicks, but no way in hell Soto is coming to the dumpster fire Blue Jays run by the worse GM in baseball. Be real.
Never gonna happen. Stop giving people false hope. Jays are a leverage team. They have a shitload of money and owners never spend.
Jays will be nothing but leverage for Soto.
What does this say to Vladdy about his negotiations? I believe Soto wants out of Judge's shadow but I don't believe Atkins and Shapiro have what it takes withouy hurting the future of the team. We need relievers and starters are getting old , one man isn't the key.
This sounds like Ohtani 2.0 are you gonna track all his planes flights too😂😂
It's humorous watching Jays fans spin up wild theory storms like they have any chance of reality. It's a stretch to think Jays are going to spend $60 millionyr on Soto. But then, Jays fans think that opens the flood gates to another $60 millionyr for other players who would all of a sudden want to play in TO cuz of Soto. Meanwhile, they don't even have Vlad or Bo signed. where is this unlimited money that Jays fans think exist?
Exactly, take these reports with a grain of salt! At this point only Juan Soto may know where he wants to go and probably hasn’t talked any reporters about his future. So, I’ll believe it when I see him signing the Contract and things are official. It’s all speculation and I’m not holding my breath
I predict the Jays may sign Vlad and Bo and then overpay for 2 or 3 B+ players, probably aging players at a deal price and call it a day.
I bet Soto learned from Ohtani on how to bypass taxes and many athletes do. He probably ends up in Texas or Arizona or some other low tax state.
Yeah, like Jerry Jones was "all in" on the Dallas Cowboys. This is 2024 Ohtani. Ohtani wasn't coming here, and neither is Soto.
I’d only offer 9 years/ $360 million and that’s it. If he signs elsewhere, oh well. It takes a team to win not one guy
Can't believe ur believing this man Hector doesn't get much right
You're going to sign Soto when you haven't signed Vladdy yet?
Lol all in I will believe it when I see it all in just like they were for ohtani lol
You could probably sign both Pete Alonso and Santander for the same price as Soto.
