"Home"lgren sick
we're going to be talking about that Caruso trade long after this season. this OKC team isn't leaving any crumbs.
Consequence of legit no spacing around him
Im still going with Wemby
But yeah he was alone on this game
We beat ourselves in this game, let's not forget Wemby carried his country in the Olympics the whole summer while Chet was on vacation it was expected.
Everyone is talking about how poorly their team played against OKC, but no one wants to admit that OKC is simply the better team. Maybe they’re reluctant to accept that a team like OKC could tear down, rebuild so quickly, and already be back in title contention. Shoutout to Sam Presti for making it happen.
Hand strength in the paint is not quite up to par yet.
Fun hypothetical, what three offensive players all time would you ‘’fuse” to create the best offensive player all time, kinda like dragon ball
OKC has a cheat code. Chet is better equipped to defend Wemby when you compare with personnel to most other teams. Add in the coaching, the schemes, and the perimeter defensive tenacity, this was definitely within the range of possible outcomes.
The real problem is that Spurs suck. It's just Wembanyama and grandpa CP3!
So essentially if the spurs were hitting the open looks be generated they wouldnt be able to double like that
I was at that game and frankly this was just extremely poor coaching from Pop. He should have been posting VW up all game long as well as Sochan but they put them both consistently on the perimeter making it easy for OKC to defend. You're not going to beat the Thunder playing small ball and trying to run with them yet that's what these first four teams tried to do.
It was inevitable. Everybody acting like Wemby is the new GOAT and it's only been one season for coaches to figure out how to stop him. I said last season – wait until next season, somebody will figure him out, he will be a good player but his only advantage is his height so he will be stopped.
Wemby was looking like Alex Sarr out there 🤣
So basically Wemby played correctly, it’s just Wemby’s teammates couldn’t knock down their shots.
Yall see what Draymond said about the group interviews we do?😭😭
That big belly mf wouldnt strike fear in me in a dark alley😂😂
Boricua Hispanic India n black iam.. okc is getting more talented n strong, they will be winning game n getting smart , I hope this year okc win a championship n chet Shai Jalen the trio n second best player group caruso dort Joe n other will become the 3 point shot the secret weapon. 😅 I like okc young players try to win championship n they play with the passion . All the players God bless you all. I hope they win like the bulls n golden state worries, 72 win.
Not sure why everybody was shitting on Wemby. That defense was TOUGH! 1 through 5 is a matchup.
Only attempted 5 shots, and they were having a back-to-back the next day which limited his minutes a bit.
He’s too weak, he should be able to move Caruso out the way
Wemby needs to get on the block and some face up in the mid range opportunities. He looks like he’s doing a lot for his size lol
Imagine Wemby and Chet on OKC. League would be cooked af.
SAS is still in brett brown mode. you enforce bball iq and reading defenses, by not implementing all kinds of intricate offensive schemes. yet
I think 2 key trades next summer – and we will se a revamped offense. the spurs bench in hella smart, with pops leading the way
and to be direct, so everyone gets it: this is the way (you develop young talent.) dont give them all the answers, lets them grow into it slowly. it will be painfull at times, but it is the only way we see if not 100 then 95 percent of wembys talent and potential actualized
How are they allowed to just hold him in place? Wouldn't that be a foul after the "freedom of movement" rules?
Ive watched all 5 spurs games and this is exactly how teams are gameplanning him.
Put a smaller wing/guard on him and keep him shoved out of the paint.
They love him taking alot of 3s and not getting easy lobs/tip ins
Great vid & analysis. Watched this live but love seeing in depth reads
They're implementing the same strategy that the rockets used against Wemby by having Dillon Brooks on him, Brooks had 5 steals on Wemby doing this last season
Sohan is an offensive liability I get wanting to play him but damn
chet gives me the creeps
You're not selling me OKC stock again.
Chet might be… but Wemby is a far greater entity than a unicorn.
Nice video
you compare a playoff ready team and a lottery team. But if you put Wemby to OKC, its much better. Just sayin'
if only those shots would fall. it would be a completely different game. Wemby needs shooters. Spurs should've held on to Chip. Look at the Thunder now.
The issue is thoughout history, having a record as bad as the Spurs results in development stagnation for star players. Losing a lot is not a long-term strategy because it leads to bad basketball decisions and habits.
OKC better win now. Gonna be wemby’s league in 3 years
