  1. The Dodgers are reportedly interested in signing Willy Adames and upgrade at the shortstop position. The Yankees should consider signing Willy Adames before the Dodgers do and have Adames play short and move Anthony Volpe to second base, which is the position most mlb scouts forecasted as Volpe's best defensive position. The Yankees defense was poor all season long and during the playoffs and moving Volpe to second and trading away the weak armed catcher, Jose Trevino, would improve the defense of the Yankees. Also, Aaron Judge's best defensive position is right field and Judge is a better defensive right fielder than Juan Soto. The Martian's best defensive position is center field, not left field.

  2. No disrespect to the Dodgers…it could have gone either way in the best case scenario. The Devil is in the details and the Yankees did a terrible job with them. If we get out of the 5th, Cold probably goes a complete game.

  3. Even if the team goes to a game 6, the team would have faced Yoshinobu Yamamoto in LA. Yoshi is becoming a Yankee killer (allowing only 1 run in 13 1/3 IP vs the Yankees.). Rodon is worst on the road than at home.

  4. Yankees are better off letting the Mets overpay for Soto and not giving Cole the extra year. That alone cost the Yankees 85M+ per year. Yankees should get Christian Walker for 3Y/60M, Snell 5Y/130M, and Santander for 6Y/120M. That would be way better!

  5. The Yankees must not only sign Juan Soto but Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki. There was talk last year of the Japanese first baseman compared to the Japanese Babe Ruth. Give Jazz Chisholm the third base job or trade for Gio Urshela. Bye bye Gleyber Torres. Anthony Volpe must be moved to second and give the shortstop job to Oswald Peraza. Ben Rice needs to be backup catcher and backup first baseman. Jazz needs to be moved to leadoff as he'll be like Mickey Rivers on offense and Graig Nettles on defense. Hell be an improvement over the running adventures of Gleyber Torres.
Come on Yankees add a year to Gerrit Cole deal. The Yankees future will be bright with Soto, Jasson the Martian Dominguez and Carlos Lagrange and Luis Gil.

  6. If they get Soto, Judge in left, Soto in right and play him deeper. Soto can come in effectively but he can’t go back and he doesn’t have a lot of lateral range.

  7. I wish ppl would stop talking about the Yankee greats of the past and then mentioning Judge……………He is not Gehrig, he is not DiMaggio, he is not Mantle and he isn’t Ruth, he is Aaron James Judge, support him as being that, he has some kind of “block” when it comes to the post season, which needs to be addressed as to me it’s a confidence problem, which is not going to be helped by people climbing on his case or mentioning him after or along side the past greats!
Would any of those greats have been able to cope with the media scrutiny that players have today? How do you think people like Mantle would have coped or reacted if he had been followed and then outed for his liking to party and partake of beverages? Good grief is it not a fact that when Mantle came up, the Clipper didn’t even basically acknowledge his existence! All stars have their flaws and all are different ppl, treat them as such or risk making what as I said imho is a mental block that Judge has with the post season………worse!
Is there any other environment in Baseball or indeed sports that is like the cauldron of the Bronx? Maybe more thought should be given to what happens behind the scenes and closed doors and the ppl who inhabit that arena and are paid to do so! It is natural to want to lay blame and attribute that to one person, where in reality I’d suggest the blame if any true blame is with many people! I listened to Maddux and well that man regardless of what you think about him made a true statement …..every player is different! That should be remembered.

We all want success of that there is no doubt, we all want it now! We got to the WS after how long in waiting? How many on that roster had been to that show before? To me that makes or should make at the very least pause for thought! Esp as imho the Dodgers organisation out thought the Yankees Organisation! They had plans A-Z in place and ready to go ……the Yankees had plan A and if that didn’t work it all fell apart! Yes part of that does lie with Boone, but not in the entirety, players have to actually turn up and deliver! I do agree fully that all the flaws were fully exposed in game 5 and magnified a 100000 times, no one will know that better than the players themselves, they imho “ choked” “ bottled it” “lost the plot” or just plain showed that they don’t pay enough attention to fundamentals (back to plan A, it don’t matter as we screw up it’s ok the howitzers will fire and we will outscore them), it doesn’t matter if your the highest paid player on the planet or the lowest, everyday you make sure and you test that your fundamentals are still there, you don’t hope they are or again it’s ok if we screw up, we will just launch a few bombs from 2,3 or 4 in the line up you make sure that they are still there! As in you practice, practice and practice again! If players don’t want to do that, no matter who they are they then get splinters in their backside sitting on the bench! The message will soon get thru ……we do this and do it well the heat will come off and we will not make the mistakes!
I’ve seen it many times in my life when sports teams are front loaded with talent and when they don’t deliver they go down in flames. I’ve seen it in the nearest comparison over this side of the pond in cricket ……the superstars are not delivering and all hell let’s loose, ppl are calling for heads and the rest……..does it work …….rarely! What does work is being smart, thinking smart, planning smart and then playing smart ……..oh yes the big wallet and bank account helps but not always……..not always!

Sorry for the rant! I just see things maybe slightly differently from where I am now located. I am a Yankees fan, since finding baseball when I first came to the states a fair time ago, as you guys didn’t play cricket lol …………..there is an old adage in cricket, you don’t just bowl the man out, you think him out! Words that I have never forgotten and those same words that a very famous (became the most hated MCC captain ever to face Australia) cricket captain back in the 1930’s took to heart and beat the Australians, if you don’t know what I’m talking about look up Bodyline the series in 1930’s D.R Jardine had to combat a player that was hitting everyone all over the field and out of it btw, so he came up with a plan and he won ……the Aussies still squeal to this day about it! Win he did and used what he had to do so not just with brute power (which he bloody had in spades) with the most feared bowler on the planet, but he thought them out made plans and went with them ……..anyone that didn’t tow the line didn’t play! Sports are a mental game as much as they are physical ……if you are mentally in good shape and have the god given physical ability then you win ………………

    Here endeth the rant lol

Go Yankees Go ……..rise to be the Empire again, but do it smart and think!

  8. The Dodgers beat 3 of NY's SP and NY beat a throw away game in the pen with rookie pitchers and scored almost half of their WS runs in that game. The Dodgers were better than them and they also had to deal with Ohtani's shoulder injury. Be gracious losers and not diminish the Dodgers.

  9. We need a new owner, GM, manager, coaching staff, starters, 1st 2nd 3rd base, bat boy, lower tickets prices and facial hair allowed, they don't need to look like soft liberals 🤭

  10. As far is Soto is concerned, not as high as others, use that money to fill holes with good players. A `12-14 year deal, he will end up as Stanton 2 as a DH with Judge/Stanton gone as well as Cole. 5 years at 250 million tops.
