What and Who Needs to be at the Top of the Cleveland Guardians Offseason Priorities List?

What do the Cleveland Guardians need to prioritize this winter and who should be part of that priority list?

This episode discusses if the Guardians should/will give Shane Bieber the qualifying offer and if he should be a priority to bring back this offseason or should they opt to focus on Matthew Boyd or other pitching options?

We also discuss where some wiggle room could come on the roster and payroll to make some additions as well.

  1. How come peeps like Straw and Hedges cant improve their hitting with hi-tech instruction, strength gain, modern equipment, etc etc. Doing same over and over….albert einschwein

  2. In my mind the no brainers and yes, that is after my enourmous rant about wanting Hedges gone 2 seasons ago and not being sad he left, talk about being wrong on a level never before seen.

    No Brainer:

    Bieber
    Boyd
    Hedges

    Wish list:

Fry / Cobb if it ithere is team friendly "he is taking a discount for 1 year to increase his value" or 3-4 years of a team friendly deal for Fry

    Everyone else can go

Make room for the new crop of young guns in the minors and Crazy K amd Stephen to come back.

If the team cannot sign Naylor to a long term or 2-3 year bridge year, trade him for young pipeline talent or a starting Pitcher if you lose out on Boyd, Cobb or Bieber.

It is year 2 for the rookies. class.
Year.1 for being an All-Star for Kwan
A now you know what to expect from Bo Naylor year
A Giminez has to start hitting consistently at some point, because all the tools are there
A Lane getting more comfortable in a contract year
Relief Pitching getting its full compliment of players back healthy

  3. Why don’t our owners just spend some money. It’s so frustrating talking about getting a bargain pitcher every off season. In today’s game it’s really hard to go deep in the post season without spending money. I know we did it this season, but we nearly got swept by the Yankees because our starters were not good and we couldn’t get a clutch hit

  4. Great show gentlemen. The FA market always frustrates me. I agree most impacts are the high priced players, but some teams are able to find good returns. KC did well in 24. I think the big difference between Cleveland and KC, Min, and at times Det, is those teams seem to spend more and I have to imagine make about the same amount.

  5. Boyd. Period. Let go of Bieber, could be a waste of money compared to the return, even with a 2 year deal. We need every $ to work for us now. We talk of how Straw's contract is weighing us down. The Yankees would forget he is even on their payroll.

  6. Would Bieber be attracted to doing his rehab with the team he knows? Next year is very important for his future, so could something like that be a possible factor for a pitcher?
