  1. Help us get to 300+ likes & 30K subs! Mets fans, what’s YOUR biggest takeaway from the Maton news along with NYM set to make moves today?

  2. From a financial perspective and his regular season performance seemed like he would stay.

But in the playoffs I remember him referring to how guys are tired this time of year when talking about poor performance. In a sense it seemed he was unhappy with the extra usage?

That's when I knew he can't last. This team has a bunch of anime characters willing to give their all even when the tank is empty. Maton's attitude doesn't fit there. Need guys who want the ball every day whether they can perform or not

  3. Mets are going to get Soto because is a bussiness the Mets needs to make to compite
    Is a bussiness around Soto
If you don’t like the idea,, just root for a different team and became Soto hater because Soto is going to the Mets
Now go and look for Steve Cohen and tell him how you want him
    to spend his money

  4. If I were Lindor I'd tell MLB to stick their silver slugger award you know where…if i were him id hold onto the notoriety of winning if he does wins but I wouldn't accept it for the gold glove snub

  5. $7.5 mil was a bit steep for Maton, but I honestly would have liked to see the Mets hold onto him. The pen will be a mess moving forward. Diaz is there at the end. Prior to that? Hopefully Nunez is healthy, because that guy is an absolute stud set-up man. I will feel really good about the back end if it is Nunez and Diaz. In front of that? Fill in the blanks. I don't know where the Mets turn. Smith is gone due to injury. Raley is gone due to injury. Garrett is a nice asset, but he isn't exactly a shut-down reliever. What is left? Butto? I really want Butto in the rotation next year. I think the Mets will need that, actually. Either of the Youngs? Meh. Okay. Either of them is a serviceable RP. And then …. I do not know. Seems like a large void that needs to be filled. I think Maton could have been a significant innings-eater across innings 5-6 and occasionally 7. That is a guy who seemed to me to be valuable. We'll see what happens. But penning a solid RP for less than $8 mil under circumstances in which you need RPs … I would have welcomed Maton back wholeheartedly.

  6. Keep Brooks, Stanek, Drew Smith. Tough to call between Manaea sevvy and Quintana cause they all outperformed expectations. But you can’t keep or cut em all. That’s gonna be tricky
