Maybe the Giants will finally realize that you never draft a QB from Duke.
Very predictable week after week out coached again
Another long season same losing just another week 8:14
DJ is going to get somebody killed the way he throws the ball 🏈
With a good QB who has better pocket awareness & accuracy, we win that game last night.
The scoring problem is part Jones and part Daboll/Kafka. The offense is basic and predictable with no creativity. Just look at that 2 pt conversion where they expected Nabers to run through the Steelers defense from the 7-yard line.
Jones has been making the same mistakes for the last last 6 years. These are rookie mistakes. It's time for a new QB.
Patty you won't have any positive content until next year until Daboll gets his quarterback
DJ doesn’t throw with anticipation, he doesn’t have good pocket awareness because he either hangs on to the ball too long & take the sack or bails out of the pocket too soon. He also is a one read QB. His play is frustrating & I don’t understand why some Giants fans have grown accustomed to this style of QB play.
If Daniel Jones was a superhero, he'd be The Greatest American Hero.
My fellow Ol heads know what I'm talking about.
Pickens endzone play: Pickens was Pinnocks guy. Banks was on Austin, and was alert enough and played hard enough to leave his guy and push Pickens out of bounds and save a TD. Pinnock had Pickens. Banks missed a couple tackles, but he played hard and was probably truly surprised and pissed he was benched in 2nd half bc he played hard.
Sloppy play reflects on Daboll, but I'm glad we're running the ball again.
It feels good to finally hear you trash one of the worst QB's in the NFL that until recently, got never ending excuses made for him game after game after game
Other than for a contract (obviously) why would the players on the team, really give it 100% knowing the worst player on the team gets a pass every single time and was rewarded for being mediocre at best? The D plays their asses off just to see the offense shit thee bed drive after drive. The offensive players know that with almost no exceptions, the woe's of the O get blamed on the Oline, the WR's dropping passes, etc, and not the constant off target passes, the zero ability to read D's, make adjustments to the line, or call audibles coming from QB1.
Patti, I don’t trust the Giants to NOT screw up the draft. There were Qb’s on the board last year who we could’ve taken even after Nabers & we didn’t…this years Qb class isn’t that great & we somehow aren’t even drafting in the top 5!!! What is their plan to get a Qb if we go into the draft with the #9 pick????
Guess which former Giant is leading the league in interceptions Xavier McKinney with 6. I hate this freaken team
Anyone else feel like this is set up for Belichick to take the reins next season?
Daboll is NOT a good HC because this team is never prepared so it seems. I think being a HC (vs a coordinator) is over his head. Frankly I'm tired of hiring "hot shot" coordinators with NO head coach experience. We need to get back to tried and true experienced HCs again and stop this on the job training nonsense.
Yep…get it done or get gone.
I've been listening to you for years (thank you by the way) and I have never heard you this disheartened, and the sad part is it's 100% warranted. Years ago you left a comment on my podcast saying 'thank you for telling the truth', so I say the same to you here. KEEP LETTING THE TRUTH OUT! The only good thing Aikman could say about Jones is that he's tough, and that was only after him broadcasting what you've been saying for years. He never throws with anticipation. I cannot remember the last time he hit a receiver in stride downfield. Poor Slayton nearly got his head taken off! It's finally time. You can see it in the faces and body language of the players. Lock & DeVito may not be the answer, but at least we've seen them both give the receivers a chance to make a play.
Question regarding that pathetic 2 point conversion play. Didn’t the Defenseman hit Nabors before the ball arrived and if so wasn’t that pass interference?
The LT was trying to push the defender outside. I thought that he did a pretty good job of doing that at times but DJ wouldn't step up a few steps in the pocket to get out of the way. He either backed up a bit or moved left or right which all resulted in sacks. I'm not sure if it's Daboll saying this to Jones, but I think not. He no longer runs. He's pretty good at one thing. That 3 yard pass. Like yo pointed out, DJ never anticipates where the WR will be. I see him stating to panic in the pocket, but way down field a WR is doing a crossing pattern with man on man. All he has to do is the it deep to the corner. The WR's pattern will change and it will be impossible for the defender to do a damn thing. Oh, it's DJ.Even though there's a RB open at the sideline hell take ask. Do we really want Drew Lock? NO!! DeVito may not be the answer but neither is Lock. I hate having these young players and not knowing their potential. It's also time to see if RB Gray can live up to his potential or is a fumbling machine. Now we have QB DeVito. This is a QB that Daboll refused to let him throw the ball. He didn't care. He showed the character of a winner. He ran in for a TD. One of his biggest issues in his last few games was that he was trying to much which caused him to stay in the pocket too long. DJ does it and he's not a rookie. Jones makes to many mistakes. Even the balls that aren't a mistake is just a poor decision. The 4 yard pass. The Giants no long play to win. Is it the play calling, or the QB? For example, on a 2nd and 20 they'll do a 3 yard play, a play that's meant to get more than 5 yards. The next play 3rd & 15 they will throw an 8 yard pass and maybe try a FG. Good teams don't settle, they go for it even if it takes going for it on 4th down!
The refs screwed the Giants too. Man not set? BS! The one good thing is maybe the TE's will be move involved in the offense. I just think that the good teams use their TE more. Sit in a zone like Bavaro. so bad nobody wanted to look at your post game. As bad as the Yankees and their coaches.#83. What do you think about using WR Ford-Wheaton more? He'd be great in the red zone. The TE's would also be good. Why isn't DJ running? That's his greatest asset.
Alot of effort for sure , wasn't horrible by any means but argggg loose another close one, damn I hate loosing
Joe Schoen paid Dimes and Hyatt and Banks are busts among others do something about it
Penalties is why we lost. That's on the coaches.
Fire Daboll..Dump.the QB and start trading players for future draft picks. It's that simple.
DaBoll should use the regimented style of warm-up and practice Tom Coughlin used at the beginning of his tenure as head coach of the New York Giants.
