4. In my opinion, you have to have a core to build around. On offense, you keep Bitonio, Chubb and Njuko. On defense, you keep Myles, JOK and Ward. I understand that money, age and health may determine who we keep. That's just who I would build around.

21. Unless they can get a really good return I would not trade Njoku.

22. Two guys for me are untradeable. Myles Garrett and David Njoku. Even if you got 2 first round picks for Garrett you would not be able to replace his ability. Njoku is our only explosive weapon on offense. I love Chubb but he does not look like his former self, at least not yet. And he is getting old for a RB, they decline at his age historically.

    You are doing pre-June 1st trades when you should be doing POST June 1st trades. Pre June 1 trades can only happen after the new league year starts in March of 2025. We're still in the 2024 league year until then, therefore it is a post June 1st trade.

    If you do that, you'll see why there are rumors about Njoku. Trading him yields HUGE cap savings in 2026 the year that Watson's contract is going to absolutely WRECK the Browns cap. Trading him has minimal impact on the 2025 cap but the 2026 cap goes from negative $13M to positive $10M which will help easy the pain of the $90M dead cap hit that's looming.

    What this means is that the Watson contract could cost the Browns their very good and very productive tight end. And this folks is what I've been saying all along….the Watson contract is going to completely wreck and remake the Browns roster.

    But but but…..Jack Duffin said this is completely sustainable lol. When are you guys going to see him for the charlatan that he is and quit holding him in such high esteem?

30. The Myles Garrett situation is that if they dare to trade him, I'm gonna support whatever team he goes to, and F* the Browns. Unless it's another AFCN team.

Even if Watson got back to form, the team would be so devastated in other areas that they couldn't compete unless the team manages to get a half dozen starters from the draft. You going to trade NJoku to keep Watson? Cut Watson, take the hit next year. Then you don't need to do a fire sale. May still make sense to trade Smith and Newsome and others that won't be around in 2026 to give some wiggle room in 2025.
