It's harder for defensemen to learn sound defense tactics than it is for offense. Mind you, even one or two defensive gaffes normally could get a player in the doghouse in most cases. On side note, we already know Rotenberg is a moron anyway. Sometimes shooting a little more will help keep the opposing goalie off-balance. Bieksa and another pundit noted that Acciari's hit seemed dirty.

Lane will be Lane. There is a lot of instability in the team, especially at this point in time of the rebuild, where couple of old contracts remain and some core player still yet to come. We won't see the true self of everyone in general for a little while, yet still enough to know what's up. Lane can take it. He's strong mentally and as little as he is, still plays pretty big. Doesn't seem fragile in any way.
