  1. Their shooting % is crap because they play with the puck too long before shooting. The opposition goalie has that extra split second to set for a shot.

  2. Something needs to be done quick, the team is worst than last year, especially special teams , if they don’t fix there holes they won’t make the playoffs. I know that’s harsh to say but do you really see them pulling off a 16 game winning streak again ? Or 8games ? Even with Mcdavid they were not playing well. Next 5 games are really important.

  3. Let's put it that way : They just have to win next game vs Golden Knights to be almost toe to toe with Los Angeles ( that's if the L.A lose against Minnesota Wild) they then be in third spot in their division. So far with 13 points they are still in good standard. Since beside the Jets 22 points the other teams are pretty average. Look, even Tampa struggles with 14 points, even Boston struggles with13 points. This means it's ''NOT'' just hard with the Oilers
Let's also put it this way : Golden Knights on Wednesday. Oilers most win this game or they are falling down, way day the ladder like in the game ''Snakes and Ladders'' In my opinion, looking the way they played (unless McChicken'' don't give their boys more than moral support) Oilers are destine to lose.

  4. Forecheck is not connected to the N-Zone focus which is failing to support the Blueline focus…..the System is in tatters and Gaps are breaking down all over the place. Need more practice. Need to close those Gaps and build tighter Defense and more connected timely playactions. You have to use the NewAge Hockey Systems Hammer & Anvil focus….and implement a Stand-Up Defense as should have been done 10 years ago. Lots of bodies moved in and out….Team Chemistry is definately off…..not Knobbys fault….but its time to sit down and sort out the reasons the System is in tatters then just make a rational expedient Plan to zip it up and fix things.

  5. Lots of missed secondary and third chances. Big rebounds that there wasn't enough coverage to capitalize on.

Of course those extra chances dont matter if you bury it on the first chance. I guess its just the difference between staying ready and staring at the puck.
