  3. Maybe after 5 blocks you'd think the offense would stop trying to go at Wemby, then again you'd think Wemby would stop shooting so many threes given he can't make them to save his life at the moment.

    Chucking up 7 threes a game this season at an amazing… 22%.

    The minute he stops trying to be KD and plants his ass on the block is the minute he starts his journey towards greatness.

    Right now he is just a selfish chucker that ruins any offense we try to run.

  6. Somebody needs to tell him that he doesn't need 7 3PFG per game to make the defense honest. Cut it to 3 or 4 attempts per game like Jokic. He's becoming a 3 point chucker at this point

  18. Wemby’s highlights always look good, but when you delve into the numbers, he really hurts the Spurs a lot. He shot 9 for 22 from the field (41%) and 2 for 9 (22%) from behind the arc. For the season, he’s shooting an abysmal 22% from three. Why on earth is he so hell-bent on firing up threes? No player that big should be hanging out that far away unless he’s shooting 40% from three. He’s much more valuable down low. Wemby’s also averaging more than 3 turnovers a game, but I guess he makes up for that will all his blocks and steals, so that’s a wash (and to be fair, 9 blocks in a game is insane). So far this season, he has only had two positive +- games, and in this game he had a +- of -21. I get that he’s still very young and full of potential, but he is incredibly far from being in any conversation for an MVP, much less a future GOAT, unicorn or alien. For all his height and skill, Wemby is barely just a decent starter.

  28. Wemby's best attributes is his shot blocking, defense and passing. He's not going to be an all-time great like we think he is because he shoots TOO many 3's and so far in his career he has NOT been a good 3-point shooter. He needs to work out with a legend like Hakeem or even Kareem to learn how to make hook shot and develop footwork in the post. A 7'5 guy who shoots below NBA average from deep is just bailing the defense out and he will NEVER be a good 3 point shooter because his fingers are too long. It's like somebody trying to shoot a grapefruit.SMH.

  30. He's DPOY candidate for a few years, He takes too many threes still. only needs like 3 or 4 attempts even thats a lot. He's so tall he can drive past, or shoot/layup over most defenders. He starting to get easier baskets now so learning to play off the ball more instead of so much energy wasted on playmaking and extra dribbling. He still needs time but I see a Quadruple double coming and more 5 by 5 games.

  35. Spurs are developing Wemby. There are not winning now. He is 20 years old. He needs to develop the 3 points shot to make opponent centers doubt between the 3 or a drive.

  36. for everyone saying he needs to shoot less 3’s, he is being advised by pop and the coaching staff to shoot as many 3’s as possible. they want him developing his weaker skills while they’re still in development years. and they get to tank for more draft capital
