  6. I have concerns about Severino moving forward. I respect what he did for the Mets in ‘24. But he threw so many more innings in ‘24 than he had thrown in many years. It won’t surprise me at all if Severino has regression or injury next year. I kind of hope Severino rejects the QO. It would give the Mets an additional draft pick at least. Hope Luis makes me look foolish by having a great season next year. But I’m skeptical.

    I hope the Mets re-sign Maton on a lesser contract. He pitched better than most fans realize after coming to the Mets.

  17. Mets need sandy Alcantara from Marlins in a trade and Max Fried. Don't want Corbin burnes. Get Soto and Bellinger to play CF. Resign Pete. Release McNeil and play Acuna with Iglesia ad our spot starter. Strengthen bullpen. Oh and get that Japanese pitcher who throws gas.

  20. Big key with the mets it's the pitching lab. Manaea had a big improvement and severino was able to stay healthy. I won't be surprised if at least we get one pitcher that is sort of a experiment trying to fix him😊

  21. I am all OUT on “big name” free agent SP’s and all IN on calculated and smart SP additions that will not hamstring us long term.

    You do not need an actual “Ace” to win it all. It isn’t the same these days…

    And watch out! More youngsters coming! No need to resign Bader and similar players – more reps for our huge stash of players like Jett, Drew G, Mauricio, Acuna, Baty, Sproat, etc and that is with Vientos and Alvy starting.
