Michael Petersen replacing Genesis Cabrera won't help the bullpen very much. I presume this is the first of a number of moves.
They don’t have a lot of cap room to work with. This will prove it should have been a total tear down.
This is what I think might happen with jays vladdy and bo are under control for one more year ,they won't sign vladdy or bo to an extension unless they sign for what the team wants ,they will plug the holes the best they can and run the team back,if they are out of it by trade deadline Atkins will be fired and vladdy and bo will be traded and the rebuild will begin

Cabrera being swapped on the 40 with Peterson seems odd, but perhaps that's a sign for an upcoming lefty upgrade.
Jays had 6 left handed RP on the 40 – too many. Now they have 4. Maybe they like Little better, especially at the price. (As you mentioned)

If this team only has 25 million to spend, what’s the point. But I do believe it’s closer to 50 and that there will be some significant upgrades in multiple positions. If not, the 40 years that I have been a fan will come to an end.
I really dislike free agency, would love to see them sign Valady and Bo, long term trade for Jacob Wilson from the A s , he could be moved to 3rd, Horowitz is defensively okay, suddenly the infield is good both offensively and good defensively.

They are basically telling us to expect no big FA signings or a Vlad extension.
We're probably finishing last in the AL again and trading every one, going into a full 7 year rebuild.
