Not gonna lie I'm just about done with this team going on 14 years. Enough is enough.
Matthew stop with "greatest" comment. He's also the second worst coach ever. Second most losses. Anybody that continues to play Krebs, Quinn, Byram & Sammy is not a good coach. He only twice mixed up the back end when they have played terribly so far this year. It's not the goalies. It's the defense trying to create offense for a terrible offense. Lindy won in 22-23 because his backend ages that played 78 games (or more) were (29) (Hamilton) (28) (Severson), (25) (Siegenthaler) (27) (Graves). His backend is all under 25 years old & haven't been asked to play responsible. Other than 2022 Lindy's team they have missed the playoffs in 7 of 8 years . (Including his stint in NYR as a Ast Coach)
I'm ready to bench Quinn for at least a month. Not only does he not produce ANY offense whatsoever, he makes all kinds of bad plays that result in turnovers and goals for the opposing teams. He is killing the second line, along with Cozens(to a lesser extent).
Meanwhile, Kulich seems to play better and better the more games he gets in to. It's time to find a regular line for him. He might have been the best Sabre tonight, other than Tuch of course. Maybe they can put Tuch in net and have Kulich take his spot. I'm willing to try anything, at this point. I don't think, things can get worse.
this group doesnt understand winning hockey games is the main objective, not score highlight reel goals and look cool.
It seems that retaining the majority of Granato's shitty coaching staff was pretty f'ing moronic and cheap…. utterly embarrassing
"Kevyn Adams is collecting talent vs. building a team." …This. all day. We do not have a well built team.
Going through the 5 stages of grief. Coming to accept that it will take until at least January (which is way too late to make the playoffs) before the ship will be righted through 1 of 2 ways: (1) They make the necessary trades of young players to get more seasoned players that understand how to play at the nhl level or (2) Lindy gets through to the young players (not producing) how to play his nhl system. I am starting to come to the conclusion that the players with "potential" are skilled but have a low hockey IQ, or they believe that doing the boring hockey things (dump and chase or playing between the dots) is beneath them. If you want to see Lindy's system working right now, pull up the Rochester highlights – they are on a 5 game win streak. Take a look at how the Amerks are doing what Lindy wants and it's working. I live in Cleveland and I am looking forward to Wednesday's game here in the Land.
As you guys stated in this episode, Adams has been very good at acquiring talent and not building a team. He is probably not a good GM and if they want to turn things around they have to make some changes and maybe some bold changes and I really do not want him making those decisions. I think it's time to make a change at the GM level and get someone very experienced and either fire Adams or move them up but take him out of the decision making.
Many teams have same issue, Cozens, big contract no scoring, same with Zegras for ducks, he has 1 goal 3 points in 11 games…Skinner 3 goals in 13 games
Prokhor Poltapov won’t be anything, typical Sabres draft pick, let’s waste 4/5 years for him to develop. What are the odds Buffalo drafted next Ovie or even the next 30 goal scorer? What would the chances of him beating out Peterka, Tuch, Greenway, The great Benson for a job? Etc, trade a bunch of picks and prospects and you g guys for one guy who can score each year, sick of waiting 4-6 years for guys to be ok like Casey Mittens
