  1. Gradey is a developing star. He’s a special player and I’m glad people are starting to notice. When Scottie and IQ come back he’ll still get his touches. He was stereotyped as a 3 point specialist (because he’s white) but he scores in so many ways.

  2. @cyro asseo if some team like thunder or pistons comes and offers you 3 first round picks for rj barrett right now do you do it. and yes you get a few young players they got recently in draft as filler along with bigger contract filler they dont want.

  4. I'm very pleasantly surprised. This is what I was hoping for after watching his college tape but last year was rough. If he can maintain this production. IQ, RJ, Gradey, Barnes, and Poetl will be a strong starting 5

  6. "Gradey Dick's mother is Carmen Dick, a former college basketball player for Iowa State. In 1989, she was named Iowa State's female athlete of the year. She still holds the school record for the most free throws made in a single game, going 15 for 15 against Kansas in 1988.

    Carmen is now a personal trainer in Wichita, Kansas, where she and her husband, Bart, raised Gradey and their three other children. Gradey has said that he admires his mom's accomplishments and that she has taught him some inside moves"

  12. You asked about whether we like that its a gap season. I don’t mind where we are at but the sports media, especially here on you tube, could get the message. Same old outrage and lack of compassion for the athletes. All that’s missing is them screaming for trades every time a Raptor has an off night. But other than that, the rebuild year is totally fine and the kids are fun to watch.

  13. Gradey Dick is going to have multiple all star seasons. Score 25ppg efficiently. I can see how it can happen so easily too. Especially with a guy like Scottie, their games are meant to go together.

  14. 1:10 – if everyone gets healthy soon enough, I still we can make the playoffs.

    This "gap" year is more of a surface level thing.
    The injuries are allowing this current stretch to be a, maybe "15 game gap"

    The team has been fun to watch in the first 7 games. IQ getting hurt put a huge damper for the remainder of opening night.

  16. Gradey is developing more rapidly than expected but I do eventually expect a small decline as the season goes on. BBQ will eventually get healthy. He’s shooting like 67% from midrange right now which isn’t realistically sustainable so there is potential regression coming. Teams are going to start game planning for him more. I think he’ll end up average about 14-16 ppg still. His development of an offensive game outside of his 3 point shooting has really propelled him into the topic of potential future star. Great to see it.
