Better not be a hangover. When they play on Thursday it will have been 5 days since Finland. Don’t start making excuses for them. They better get their act together and get their asses in gear. They’ve been in cruise control the first 11 games. Time to get in season mode and do what we all know they’re capable of. We’re not an elite team. Finland proved that. So make the next 71 games worth it. And prove to the league and the rest of the haters were as good as we say we are. Because up to this point we’ve kinda been taking it easy. Good yes. Great? No. Not even close. We’ve got a lot of work to do if we want a cup this year.
This whole trip was the worst case scenario for the Stars. What a $hitty way to kill any momentum but hey the NHL got their money.
Everyone on the team with the exception of Seguin, Duchene, Lybuschkin and Stankoven need to get their shit together. Those guys are carrying the majority of the workload. I would've added Otter to that list but we all know he had a stinker in that first game which doesn't take away from how well he started the season but we need him to be much much better when we play teams like the Panthers and the Golden knights. Robo, Hintz and Johnston need to get their shit together and Bourque needs to keep the momentum up from that one goal he got.
Deboer needs to do something diff to get these guys to wake up. He seems soft to me.
Time for 91 and 21 to 14 to go/////////// Get some guys who can grind and attack the front of the net. You know when they are getting ready to go to shit when they start playing on the outside all game. No one coming down the middle of the ice to accept a pass in the slot. SAME OLD STARS
Any one can beat a Lottery team, and that’s the Vast Majority of who we have played so far this year is teams at .500 or less. We just don’t come in aggressive enough or in the winner mentality against the good teams. If this was a measuring stick game we have a LONG way to go if we want to talk about being cup contenders. We have the Jets on Saturday, if we drop a stinker with them… it’s time for some real discussion. I hope we shake it and bounce back, but tough to do when the top line is giving us 2nd & 3rd line numbers.
I gotta be honest are you people even watching the games? Robertson was great in finland and its not his fault the coach plays him 16 minutes a night. Deboer fell in love with rolling all 4 lines and we are paying the consequences
