  1. Entertaining game until the Knights size on defense kicked in. Bouchard asleep again. 4 players on one side was a common occurrence during this game. Lots of room for improvement but this was a fairly close game. Time to get ready for the Canucks. Thanks for the update.

  2. Good morning to you Patrick and all Oilers from Germany. It was an intense hockey game tonight, but it hardly shows, where our big problems in the team are. Shooting is bad, positioning in defense is Chaos, passing from defense also, Powerplay I can't see Bouchard shooting instead of passing and waiting for a free shot. Skinner in goal like last game he played, good performance but again a Skinner thing. Don't know why he can't hold concentration for 3 periods?! Staff, started with the rows they built new, but starting to mix it up again!!! I don't understand why doing this!!! 4th line did a good job, 3rd also, 2md with Drai again very active but without luck, 1st like ghosts, sorry! Hyman not seen up to his goal, McD anxious what I understand, Skinner don't know. Defense, Bouchard only interested in offense, Ekholm tried to help Bouch and failed by himself. Kulak good, Rest have to be trained in positioning and concentration, otherwise they are useless workers on ice. Another sad loss, but I hope for the Canucks, cheers from Germany.

  3. Pathetic Oilers lost the game in the last minute?? Not the first time with such defenders like Bouchard who is not returning from the attack zone

Pathetic Skinner had a goal between his legs ? πŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺ It is normal for him to concede 3-4-5 goals per game. Coach Knob = "ZERO"πŸ€‘

  4. Great rundown Patrick.
    Thanks!!

  5. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Vegas Golden Knights. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones. My comments and observations at the end but the Oilers flushed a game and Bouch needs to watch from the press box until he gets his act in gear.

Surgery still postponed so here are some stats. Again, I can't watch the games but I can listen to them and do the summary stats. What follows is my opinion.

Las Vegas is a very good team. The Oilers weren't as good on this night. The big boys didn't come to play for the Oilers but did for Vegas. The PK is still a sieve and the PP couldn't find twine with their ONE chance this game.

Stats standouts: Nurse and Kulak led the way with ice time (probably because playing over 28 minutes last game was a tad tiring for Ekholm and Bouch) even though Kulak is a THIRD LINE D man (who also got the first of only 2 Oilers goals).

The Oilers were outshot, they hit A LOT more than Vegas (yeah, I know) and who led the way in hits, Hyman with 7 and guess what, most games he's lucky stats wise to get credited with 1, zero hits and zero blocks are more his style lately (trend analysis is a beach buddy but get used to it the more you play this season). Hyman also got our second goal (unassisted) which is his 3rd goal in 4 games. Bouch had the most blocks (with 4) but this was an odd one where the posted Sportsnet stats and Natural Stat Trick REALLY differed on blocks for Vegas. NST said 9 (only 1 more than the Oil), Sportsnet said 14. Apparently Vegas can't take a puck away but the Oilers can (8 to 1 for the Oilers). The Oilers, however, give it away a lot more (9 for the Oilers, 3 for Vegas). Remember, dump in's are considered giveaways. Oilers won one more faceoff than Vegas did. The only Oiler below 50% in the dot was Janmark (who doesn't take faceoffs a ton) who lost 2 and won zero.

    Take care all.

  6. My god Mr Bouchard , the lack of effort you have in your own end cost us 2 goals, the first goal they scored where you barely skated back and the 3rd one where you just stood there and watched trade this bum he sucks !

  7. Still need more toughness on the top line, Skinner or RNH won’t do it for me. Hopefully they can find another player like Podkolzin to fill the void. I can see a Skinner trade in the future if he doesn’t pan out.
