  1. The Lions match up well against the Chiefs. I think the Lions have the best offensive line and a great pair of backs. They will run on the Chiefs.

  2. Brockman is represeting the other 31 team fans that gnash their teeth after each KC win. With each week he gets more irrirated and is waiting to unleash a full throttled "I told you they are not the best team!" when they finally do drop a game or two.

His calendar is circled for the Buffalo game and he will ride that Bills win (they always beat KC in the regular season) until the post season.

  3. Lions fan here – Chiefs are the best team until someone beats them. None of this speculation matters anyways, I hope the two meet in the SB – would’ve been a matchup for the ages last year if the clock didn’t strike midnight on us in the 2nd half against SF

  4. The Chiefs have been doing what New England did to them in 2018 all year. It's actually been their recipe if you think about it. That's why if Baltimore ends up playing them in the AFC Championship, it will be the same result.

  5. Mahomes tip toe crap down the sideline and then staying in, is garbage! That should be like giving yourself up. I won’t feel bad when someone finally teaches him a lesson

  6. Regardless of what your answer to the question is, I think most people would agree the Chiefs are clearly the best team in the AFC and the Lions are by a wider margin the best team in the NFC, and if they played each other, as Kurt Warner alluded to, it would be quite the battle.

I do think the edge goes to the Chiefs, not because they just beat the team the Lions lost to, but because they've gone undefeated despite an unbelievable wave of injury and one of the toughest schedules in the league. Sure, the Lions lost Aidan Hutchinson and can't keep Jameson Williams in check, but for the most part they're doing all right. The Chiefs have lost Hollywood Brown, Rashee Rice, Jody Fortson, Jared Wiley, and Jaylen Watson for the season, have been without Isiah Pacheco for most of the year, have missed JuJu Smith-Schuster, Nazeeh Johnson, and Mike Danna these last couple weeks, have yet to see Charles Omenihu on the field, and have endured slow or disappointing starts from Travis Kelce, Carson Steele, Xavier Worthy, George Karlaftis, Drue Tranquill, Joshua Williams, and Kingsley Suamataia, who got benched in week 2. And that actually contributes to why they keep winning, strangely: the coaching staff molds their gameplan to the available personnel and plays to their strengths as much as possible, and that allows them to be highly adaptable to in-game situations as well.

  7. This year reminds me of the 2022 SB when KC and Philly were dominating but Philly was this hot new flashy team and everyone was on the bandwagon, damn near everyone in the media picked the eagles to win and what happened. Grown men crying that’s what happened. Don’t let the chiefs meet the lions in the SB… gonna be some lions tears flowin…

  8. Honestly, did Brockman say he thinks Lions are more physical than the Chiefs defense? Meanwhile Chiefs total defense ranking is 5th, Lions are 22nd. Chiefs pass defense is 15th, Lions are 29th! Against the run, Chiefs are 3rd, Lions at 7th. This with Chiefs having played Lamar, Burrow, Kurt, Herbert and now Baker who happens to be leading NFL in TDs and yards passing. I mean I get it, people have Chiefs fatigue and will jump on any slight reasoning to go against them. I felt that way about Patriots like everyone else not from New England.

  9. Playing with Mahomes wins you superbowls. Not playing with him means you're not playing anywhere. (Kadarius Toney, Richie James, J. Mckinnon…) MVS had 2 catches on 9 targets through 6 games and got fired. But please, let's talk more about all of Mahomes super teams and the defense carrying him.

  10. The Chiefs defense stats have been massively inflated by the teams they've played. The only good offense they played was the Ravens in week 1 and they were bailed out by a toe and the fact that they were still figuring out how to use Henry. The Bengals lost by a single point and haven't been relevant all season. They played the Falcons during their slump, the 49ers were missing basically every starter on offense, and the BUCS were missing all 3 starting WRs. All of this and they're barely managing to keep pace with these weak offenses. Their defense is good, and likely better than Detroit's without Hutchinson, but it's certainly not number 1.

  11. The Lions are the only team in the league with top five offense and top five defense. So I’m not sure what he’s saying about him not trusting Detroit defense.

  12. It’s funny because if you’re the one who is, and has been, on top for some time these takes mean nothing. When you’re in the position of the Lions being thought of as the best team means everything because they have been a laughing stock for so long.

  13. I can't really get mad about any ranking that includes the Lions and Chiefs in the top 2. It's starting to feel like a slow motion train crash that we all see coming in February. I think that if you ask MCDC who the best team is, he would say the Chiefs until proven otherwise. If you ask Andy Reid, he would say they need to get past the Lions to keep their status.

  14. Lions are emptying the jug with these blowout wins. Andy Reid hasn't even cracked the lid on his toybox yet. The difference between a secure, and an insecure coach. The Cue Ball calling the Lions is just a casualty of the 'contrarian hot-take" mentality of talking-heads trying to be relevant.

  15. Honestly the Lions ain't face what the Chiefs had face in the last few years, they went through so much adversity and still finding ways to win. It's either give the Kansas City Chiefs their RESPECT or STFU!!! 💪❤️💛🏹💯🖕🤨🖕

  16. Last I checked the Lions won the Last 2 meetings with the Chiefs, both wins came in Kansas! If they face off in the SB, Its going to be a fight to the finish… Detroit is well coached, the whole entire team has bought into the culture. The Chiefs are the team to beat right now… Detroit is on the hunt! I wouldn't blink or take this Lions team lightly… These aren't the S.O.L. that the league is used to!

  17. Maybe you take the Lions as a sexy pick in the regular season; but is anyone actually taking the Lions over the Chiefs come February? Is anyone going to pick Goff over Mahomes when it matters? The Chiefs don't get blown out., especially in the playoffs; they'll make it a dogfight; and nobody is anywhere near as battle tested as the Chiefs

  18. the lions have had to overcome the refs, while the chiefs lean on the refs, so while the lions can take the refs out of the game, and while I'm hearing kurt talk about how we can't win without hutch, he shows he doesn't know what he's talking about, also we beat the chiefs and they didn't beat us, the bucs beat us while we were trying to see if throwing the ball 50+ times was a good thing, and after that game goff has torn up the nfl, puttin up stats that only a rarified air of about 3 ppl have done in the same span of games. So I have to disagree with this buffoon, maybe a bit harsh, he's just chromin mahomes like all the other talk jocks do. I welcome a SB with KC, I know we would win.

  19. In 2022, the Eagles were the best team in the NFL. Chiefs beat them in the Superbowl.

In 2023, the 49ers were the best team in the NFL. The Chiefs beat them in the Superbowl.
In 2024, the Lions are the best team in the NFL. Got it 😎
