I’m also a fan of the Detroit Lions since 2009 when they drafted Stafford. Two years ago they started the season 1-6 after finishing 3-13 during Dan Campbell’s first season at the helm. There were rumblings that he was just a passionate bum, a meat head that said funny things in the media but couldn’t coach an elementary school flag football team and that he should be fired.
Well look at him now. The Lions are arguably the best team in football and nobody is doubting Campbell’s anymore.
Rebuild take time, even more so in hockey than in the NFL because the young studs don’t generally contribute right away. Those young guys need time to make mistake and learn while STL and Hughes need time to get rid of the deadwood. We are still far from the end game with this team.
