  1. “Hey just wanted to show my face so I couldn’t be accused of not trying. Have fun in Queens”

Id kill for any other result but I am a pessimist when it comes to long term big money contracts

  2. Good that it’s after his meeting w the Mets. Steve’s setting the price in any case

  3. The fact that Hal is getting involved early sends a pretty strong message, IMO. He’s not going to do that for any signing, that means he’s seriously trying to make Juan Soto a franchise player. It also signals to me that maybe he’s losing some confidence in Cashman to get these megadeals done, or at the very least, that he wants to show Soto that they are very serious about not only keeping Soto in pinstripes but also building around him. Involving himself means he’s putting his own reputation on the line with it, and I don’t think he’ll want that reputation to turn into “Hal’s Yankees lost their big free agent target because they got outspent by the Mets”.

Maybe I’m totally wrong, maybe it still doesn’t work out, but this sends a different message than the past.

  4. no soto no fans he knows wtf is up get that shit done boy cuz that the next captain of our team.

  5. This Cohen dude could literally say here’s a $900mil contract and he’d never even notice it from his account

  6. Sad that Hal cant trust Cashman to make much needed moved like this.

    Cashman almost let Judge go.

    Sign the check Hal.

  9. When your players openly talk about how they need to pay Soto and keep him on this team, you know this is a guy Hal needs to go all in on

  10. There ya go boss, head over to him after he’s talked numbers with other teams. Hopefully Soto will give the Yanks the final word in this. I’d like to imagine the comfort he experienced here has to matter, but of course it’ll come down to dollars. Time will tell.
