  1. Yea hurts to see but I think he will be 35 this year? Kind of expected him going for his last decent size contract but I doubt he gets it.

  2. I’m very curious as to what kind of offseason this is going to be. There are several teams in the same position as the Rangers and don’t really know what their finances will look like next year. It could be a really bad winter for players, even worst than last year.

  3. I hate reading this kind of off-season news. Really hoping something changes and Eovaldi comes back next season.

  4. Would love him back, but we desperately need guys like leiter and rocker to make headway to keep this thing going. The rotation being old guys on high dollar contracts is only sustainable if the FO remains willing to give them out which feels unlikely

  5. Thanks for all the big games. Wherever he goes I’ll always be thankful for helping deliver the first WS championship in franchise history. Ranger fans you are not dreaming!

  6. I don’t like this…

I get it, and I don’t begrudge Nate for maximizing what he can get, but I don’t like this for us.

Regardless of where he ends up, I’ll always be grateful for his role in our first WS win.

Godspeed, Nasty Nate! (Hope you end back up with us though!)

  7. Not unexpected. I would love for the Rangers to still go after him, but obviously whether he comes back will depend on how much the Rangers are willing to spend this offseason, given the word is the Rangers want to get under the luxury tax. But if the Rangers organization wants to turn the team back around to winning again in 2025, we are going to need to make some smart/big decisions this offseason. I love Evo and hope we see Houdini in a Rangers uniform again.

  8. No reason to think they can’t strike up a deal.

Give him his projected market value of 2 years at $48M. The man loves playing in Texas and I don’t see him playing for the Astros.

Just make it happen CY. This man needs to retire in a Rangers uniform.

  9. He just wants a long term deal, probably the last of his career. Give him 4 for 20, with half of it deferred.

  10. are we officially in rebuild mode? I’m not surprised. I’ve seen other news outlets say that deGrom may be gone. I’m sure some of you are more up to date on this than I am

  11. Yeah that was kind of obvious, I’ve seen a lot of Rangers fans freak out over stuff that’s really not that big of a deal. I think people are seriously underestimating what Chris Young and ownership is about to pull off.

  12. Similar to Cole & the Yankees (except smaller $’s) and this allows Texas to resign him to a new contract that would pay him more in 2026 and lessen the money owed in 2025.

  13. 3 years for 54-60 mill sounds fair. Just hoping the Rangers can cough up the cash. They did say they were going to try and cut back on payroll tho.

  14. There’s a lot of big free agents this year and yet this guy is still the highest on my list of the ones I want
